These are our demands

Better Glamour, JUST like FF 14 mobile
Better leveling experience
Better open world
Better Dungeons and not the same trash we been getting every expansion.
Improve Job changes
What else should I add??
WoW is very different to FFXIV
Those who want WoW type of game play will be disappointed in FFXIV
And those who love the way FFXIV will not enjoy WoW
If player migrate from WoW to FFXIV they would never stay long in FFXIV. The core audiences are so different
I know plenty of people who play both games. But I think they have different expectations of both.
I mean, I enjoyed both plenty well, even when they were each more distinct (including from their current forms).WoW is very different to FFXIV

And having enjoyed both doesn't make dumb things, when done by either game, any less dumb -- including having housing as a fairly main feature and then having only enough for a small portion of players.
@Naoki -- Why would we not want that fixed? That WoW does better in some regard doesn't mean XIV should actively seek not to in order to seem "distinct". It's already sanded down most of its meaningful distinctions in actual gameplay and features in order to be "more XIV" (read: making the game as plug-and-play [just put combos and oGCDs in template order and go] as to be as casual-friendly as possible even while leaving all meaningful content a matter of rote memorization, as if that's what was always meant to make the game what it is), leaving only its weird dichotomies as what most directly opposes WoW.

The open world definitely could use some attention. FATEs are literally just kill X number of mobs. You kill 15 mobs, or one really big mob, or 15 mobs and then talk to an NPC. The last time we had a FATE that was different was in Stormblood with that one FATE where you had to chase down the big mob and kill it before it reaches the town (Which does nothing, doesn't remove vendors or repair NPCs or anything). Everything is so damn static and boring I was actually pleasantly surprised to see mobs interacting with each other on Mare Lamentorum, granted it's just one mob killing another and getting a buff, but it was nice to see. It's just so sad to see 14 being stifled by either lack of creativity, its archaic engine/code, or both.We all quit!

Ok quit then, fare thee well, but You'll be back soonish ...
This one gets it must be an OG lolBeen playing this for over a decade at this point.
I simply do not expect anything major changing with 8.0. This is simply the road we've been on and I do not see the devs changing trajectory. I used to be bitter about it, gnash my teeth and comment on X and Y and Z changes I want to see, but I'm older now and I have not the energy to spend on that kind of thing. Nowadays I simply play the game for the aspects I do enjoy... which to be quite honest aren't very many now, but enough to keep me coming back, I suppose.
Dat Part. I thought EW would be that expansion to line DT for the lay up but at last I was wrong.

Hello fellow Midgardsormer <3Acutally SE did server merges all the time in FFXI (I know this for a fact, my original FFXI server, Midgardsormr, was merged back in 2010 into Quetzalcoatl), so there is precedent. It hasn't yet happened here in ARR though, although it did sort of occur in FFXIV 1.0, where the original servers were merged together into new servers (the original FFXIV 1.0 servers were all named after towns and places from past FF games, the 'replacement' 1.0 servers of which there were fewer, took the names of reoccuring weapons from past FF games, and these became the so-called 'Legacy' servers in ARR - my original 1.0 server, Selbina, became Ridill, which I started ARR on as well, (well, before jumping to Balmung, which was originally Besaid as I recall).
Having said that, I don't see SE purging or rolling servers together here in FFXIV ARR anytime soon, even the 'quiet' ones, because there are unique issues and challenges at play here in FFXIV that FFXI did not have (specifically, different geographical locations of data centres where as FFXI all the servers have only ever been based in the same location in Japan), which are more difficult and costly to address in a way that is acceptable to players.

Just for curiosity.
I recall Mao saying that her will just let her sub end and will play something else.
But it was months ago. But Mao is still posting here. And to post here, an active sub is needed.
So, what keeps Mao playing this game? House? Friends?
So, I think OP should just shorten the path and go.
Everyone knows that this game won't change much at 8.0. It didn't changed that much at 7.0, nor 6.0, not even at 5.0, 4.0 or 3.0. Only time we saw a really drastic change was from 1.0 to 2.0.
And is well-known that Japanese is resistant to changes. Specially drastic changes, more if the product is a good chunk of S-E earnings.
So, don't expect anything beyond incremental changes at 8.0. You'll be disappointed otherwise.
