The overworld zones barely exist outside of set pieces for MSQ cutscenes. Hunt trains and allied beast society tribe dailies don't exactly add much substance.

oh yeah i remember that from aion.
that was great. very thrilling and also fun. and if it gets too dangerous you had to make a party.
parties... remember when partymember worked together instead of steamrolling everything or just doing their own things seperatly?
without fun jobs none of the content is fun
Would not mind actually dangerous wildlife.
congrats you figured it out the game is suppose to be easy, why would yoshi p care when it being easy is the point? this game is for new people to mmo's/video games, and final fantasy.
Unfortunately this is impossible due to the mistake that was adding flying back in Heavensward, and convenience addicts would get mad if they removed it.
Bring back 6.0 Dragoon. I want my job back.
I also wish we could bring the ff11 open world feel into ff14.
That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.
The only changes they've made up to date regarding open world is to make things more convenient (no longer being slowed if you're hit by something while mounted, fall damage no longer kills) so I have my doubts they'll introduce more dangerous stuff. I wouldn't particularly care since the only reason I head out is for hunt trains or gathering, and for gathering you're invisible to the monsters anyway. Maybe that'd be a new meta: level a gatherer so you can just walk by everything.
All mobs should have enrages where if you pull aggro and ignore it it wipes the zone after a few minutes
I hope when we go to Meracydia, they add some environmental hazards to the open world considering parts of it are an uninhabitable wasteland supposedly.
I hope we head to gobby land again and you randomly have a chance of stepping on a landmine and instantly dying.
