    WHY HAVE I GOT TO DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE GAME AGAIN?

    I bought 2 items from mog store for my friend in game because its his birthday today, when i went to trade them to him i realised they are not tradable, so i tried to go back to the mog store but it wouldnt load, i log out of the game just incase it was the game slowing down the loading of the website but it still wouldnt load and when i tried to log back into the game, the launcher wouldnt load properly either, i have spent the last 2 and a half hours trying to find out why, taking all the reccommended steps to be sure its not a problem my end, including resetting the game data in launcher settings (AS RECCOMMENDED) and as a result of resetting the game data, i now have to download the whole game again which will take nearly 6 hours.
    I am missing my friends birthday because of what ever technical difficulty you guys had earlier and follwowing all your stupid reccomended steps, so thanks for that.
    I'm really annoyed right now

    I have 4 hours left from a 6 hour download, i'm sure its too late to do anything now and i wont cancel the download incase it doesn't work and i have to start the download all over again, i am here purely to let SE know how inconvinient what ever the issue they had earlier has been for me.

    If you want to give Online Store items to a friends you need to use the "Buy For A Friend" option which is then sent to them as Mog Mail once the purchase is complete, as trading such items in-game is not possible.

    Good morning, fellow adventurers, and thank you all for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced when trying to log in and access the Mog Station, especially on a day that was important to you. Regarding the full game download you are currently experiencing, this was triggered by selecting the “Reset Game Data” option in the launcher settings. That function clears out all existing local data and requires a complete reinstallation of the client. While it is one of the recommended troubleshooting steps, it is generally meant as a last resort after other methods have not resolved the issue.

    Can I get some addition information regarding the issue you’re having?

    - Wired or WIFI connection?
    - When the disconnect occurs/How often?
    - Does the disconnection happen to one character or multiple characters?
    - Is a VPN being used when this occurs?
    - Where in game do you get disconnected?
    - What ISP is being used?

    Open the control panel of the PC and go to ‘Network and Internet’. Once there select ‘Internet Options’

    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    *Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    Lastly, check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you

    Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

    i bought a game from the mog and got thank you and number s then waited never got game so i cancled it and my neighbor the president of the ussa kid go figure friend

    it said here is the details of your order us-855563 and never herd a word after no game but finaly i cancled it i lost my house due to the ffx14 store stop selling subs before dawn trail . then i had to fight to get on my account 2 month s its not your = lol yes it is my wow has the same charters
