Steller mission not giving points sometimes when gathering items

I noticed that when gathering items, I'm sometimes not awarded points

I believe that’s a mission that tracks gatherers boon, so you only get points if you proc gatherers boon

There are missions that only gives points based on gathering chains, not on the item gathered itself or even gatherer's boon. Read the mission's description, it's always written what kind of action will make you score points.
