Audio randomly choosing to play on a loop on top of current audio

Hello!

seemingly at random while playing the game my audio will bug out and start looping over itself, this started about a week ago when i noticed in eureka that combat noises, sound effects and attack noises were going off despite not being in combat and very very far away from anyone who was, i rebooted the game and that seemingly fixed the issue for the moment but then it happened again later on while crafting, and then again a few days later while roaming around, then again a few days after that, and then today after i messed with settings further and basically had it going fine all day, it happened again and prompted me to go into services on my PC and force reboot the audio multiple times before it finally stopped

i have the game set to only play audio while i'm using the game, and if i click onto my other monitor, the audio typically will stop, but while the audio is looping/desynced it plays on both monitors and on multiple devices (i thought it would have been an issue with my speakers but i swapped to my crappy speaker that's built into my monitors and the issue persisted, the issue seems to only manifest while playing ff14, i haven't had this issue with any other game but it doesn't seem to exclusively effect ff14 as over the weekend i had the issue also loop playing the troubleshooting windows test audio beep, and duplicate discord audio and loop it while on top of whatever is currently being said/done while using my headset, i have no idea what could be causing this and i don't know how to fix it

things i've tried
rebooting the game-temp fix, does stop the audio repeating but doesn't stop the issue from starting up again for seemingly no rhyme or reason
checking for audio driver updates-none found, up to date
uninstalling and reinstalling audio drivers- didn't work
reinstalling all the patches for the game- didn't work
uninstalling and reinstalling the game itself- didn't work
turning off hardware acceleration- didn't work
turning off audio enhancements- didn't work
unplugging speakers and plugging them back in- didn't work

i even tried contacting geek squad for support but they just read off a script and didn't actually listen to what i was telling them and couldn't hear the audio output from my end anyways so it was pointless, plus i don't know how to get the issue to start so it's hard to show proof of it happening

i can provide info as much as possible to try and help, and i tried contacting square enix for support but this was the other day and late and they were obviously unavailable

32 gig of ram
2TB SSD with ff14 installed on it
windows is up to date and everything appears to be up to date software wise as well, but i would love help figuring this out, been playing the game for years and this is the first real issue i've had
