Cosmic Exploration is Bad

The things i think are really BAD:

Can't use Mounts.
Using Transportation closes the UI.
The UI is clunky to use and blocks the entire screen to start missions.
GP Regeneration is way too slow.

+it is really hard to read the quest text on the bright background of the zone.

I am having GP issue with A rank gathering. To get gold I have full GP with a Cordial ready. Then 2-3 minute idle waiting for GP and Cordial CD.
The idling is not fun.

there is no reason to only farm A ranks, get enough level IV point to upgrade your relic and then do B missions.

I quite liked the fisher cosmic exploration things. Most of the timings were distinct enough to be able to blind th on gut and the small puzzle aspect was overall pretty approachable while clearly being intended for a specific combination of skills - the 18 caught fish one, overlap slaps with two types of bait feat. lures and so on. I ended up scribbling some timings down on a bit of paper for specific missions but really I expect there will be a community-made database circulating shortly.

I haven’t bothered with the crafters because my gear is abysmal, but the other two gatherers have largely been fine too. I think I missed something with one of the collectible ones, but since I still have 560 accessories it may well be a gear issue.

As a qol, it would be nice to have some form of gp reset, if only as compensation for erasing my angler’s art stacks upon completion. It seems unintentional to incentivise doing lower level missions, but even some of those are rather gp hungry.

Overall despite it not gripping me the way ishgard restoration did I’ve enjoyed it well enough and looking forward to the next instalment. It’s a bit harder to write a positive review and have it seem sincere.

IV is what I am missing but I change my approach
I just switch to crafter while the cordial on CD.
Probably the best way of me as I have short play time during weekday.
Just hope we could buy some “cosmic cordial” in the future patch

Because there is 8 crafters and only 3 gatherers they compensate by making the gatherers take 3 times as long. It's obnoxiously long.

Which is pretty much entirely down to how GP works, an actual valid issue.
It doesn't take that long because it's so difficult, it's because you spend at least half the time standing around doing nothing.

Yeah GP not restoring combined with it requiring longer by default is a legit problem

I can get behind them restoring GP (or as another commenter suggested, having random lops in the area give you a +GP restore buff like the elementals in Eureka.)

Just hope we could buy some “Cosmic Cordial” that don’t share CD with normal Cordial and Hi-Cordial.
Now I do 1-2 gathering quest switch to crafter run a few quest while GP recover and Cordial CD finish and switch back to DoL. kind of fiddly, better than just sitting idle
