System Configuration not saving Borderless Windowed display preferences

I have been having an issue, at least since Tuesday's patch but possibly before then, where my game will revert to Fullscreen mode after I log out (it may have been occurring since the 7.2 patch, when I started noticing the game loading differently on launch - popping out an off-center system window first before filling the screen, but didn't put 2 and 2 together for a couple of weeks). I play in Borderless Windowed mode, and have reset the game to that mode upon login every time and it stays that way for the duration of my play sessions, but then the next time I go to log into the game it's back to Fullscreen again!

I've checked the config files for the game and confirmed that they have the proper read/write permissions, but my own technical problem solving abilities don't go much further than that, so I'm at a bit of a loss as to what could be causing this and why. Is there something I might be overlooking?

LOL I thought it was just me I've been noticing this happening since 7.1 onwards.

Greetings and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

The issue you are describing may have to do with your system's permissions with regards to FINAL FANTASY XIV. Please try the following troubleshooting steps to see if they may help with the issue:
    - Try running FINAL FANTASY XIV as an administrator and then make the setting changes.
    - If you are using the Windows OS, sometimes the system will have the program 'OneDrive' running in the background. This program may be overwriting your changes in its attempt to sync your files. Please search for and disable this program if it is running in the background.

Thank you once again for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!
