Request: Split the genderlocked animations of the /visage emote into two emotes

Thank you for bringing this post up!! I play a gender nonconforming character and it saddens me that we're still getting emote differences
Part of me wonders if they can alter the visage emote to work same way as Ballroom Etiquette - Decadent Decoration. It gives access to /paintblack, /paintred, /paintblue, and /paintyellow all in one little emote book, and it would be nice if we could have Pose A and pose B bundled like OP suggested!

I super appreciate square putting in the work to make gear/glam not gender exclusive. But it shouldn't be too hard to do the same for emotes.
As other posters stated, having the option to Pose A vs Pose B is preferred to an emote that some people might get and then never use because it doesn't fit with their character. I also feel this should extend to other past gender locked emotes (eating/miqo sitting etc.) But this would be a wonderful start if we could have both versions of the emote that was released this patch.

I was really dissapointed when I saw that my roegadyn gal couldn't do the crouch and thumbs up (or peace sign)! The female assigned emote just doesn't feel right for her character. I really would love to see them split / the genderlock removed!

Same IDK they had been different emotes with the same name depending on gender, and I'm like HMMM why tho.

i saw the visage emote on social media displayed on a female miqo’te and immediately i was like “i want that on my male elezen character”. fast forward to about 1-2 hours worth of cosmic exploration, i get the emote, and its completely different on him. i am so insanely disappointed.

I agree with OPs sentiments and would also like the emote to be split, or for perhaps the emote to slowly cycle between both.

Remove all gender-locks. Unlock all emotes. Unlock cposes. Unlock run animations. Unlock gear that changes design based on your character's sex.

The number of female players upset that they can’t have the classic dragoon standing pose (Kane may have done it first, but Freya also did that pose!!), and male players sad that they don’t get the “sword in the ground” Dark Knight pose is really, really high.

Yeah. I play DRK on a male character, and my sister plays DRK on a female character. We're both jealous of the other's pose. The drawn-weapon idle poses seem like they'd be especially easy to unlock; we already have multiple standing and sitting cposes, so going from one weapon cpose to two doesn't seem like too big of a leap.

I am so tired of gendered emotes. Various c-pose and other job-related poses (Dragoon, Dark Knight) are bad enough, but the fact gendered emotes continue to be made as we finally get so many of the clothes unlocked is ridiculous. It's more work for the devs, but also just...if you're going to have two, just offer both! We have options for the jumps, cheers, and ranger poses. So it can be done.

I agree here as well! I would like my character to be able to express their personality more, outside of just. Cute and dainty.
My warrior of light is a warrior, I would like the option to have her grin big and wide

It certainly does feel silly, yeah. If you want two emotes just... make them two emotes, don't lock them to certain genders.
