when you reply to someone but it doesnt work ugh
But also i don't usually mind guys having a goofy af pose, but like.... not everyone wants that, sometimes we want cute poses T-T

I do mind the gender lock emote but what I would like is a emote that would somewhat work like change pose but for emote instead like give us more then one option
I was so excited for the emote and when I finally got it I was sad since it was so different on my male Viera v.v I hope they add both versions available to use by any gender in the future.
Very much supportive of this. The ranger poses have the A, B, C designations so there's already precedent for it.
+1 from me! Echoing the sentiment that there's precedent for it with /cpose and the ranger A/B/C poses. There's absolutely zero reason why they should be genderlocking anything at this point.
First World Problems.... >.>
Coming to this thread because I was really looking forward to the Twirl emote (the promo image made it look nice, and as someone who used to swing dance it looked up my alley when we didn't have a name for it)...only to find out that it looks really lackluster as a guy.
Guys: here
Girls: here
I can understand the devs want to stick to "cool" for male versions of emotes, but like...this is so disappointing for me. I was already a bit sad that the selfie emote didn't have the same animation, but had moved on mostly. But this? When the promo image for this emote first got shown in a live letter, it was instantly the thing I was looking forward to most this patch. And now, I'm happy to leave it be until I either grind out the currency for it or it's selling for cheap on MB.
I get why people might go "arguing for this is dumb" but like...would you really say no to more emotes you can use? Would you say no to having more glam options? Having both versions of emotes that are different between genders and having both sets of armor that are different between genders is just a good thing, in the end.
Please give us both options of emotes, or just don't make them different between guys or girls to begin with. There's precedent for having multiple versions of emotes. And please give us both versions of armor sets if you have to make them different for guys and girls.

The way male characters pause right before the twirl to put their hand on their hip is kind of goofy. Looks like they're doing two separate emotes with a generic idle pose in between. Other than that, the male version of this emote would be cute for female characters with more reserved personalities. I'm frustrated by how much of a character's perceived personality is determined by unchangeable gender-locked animations.Coming to this thread because I was really looking forward to the Twirl emote (the promo image made it look nice, and as someone who used to swing dance it looked up my alley when we didn't have a name for it)...only to find out that it looks really lackluster as a guy.
Came here to second this!
Unlike most, I prefer the male /visage emote for my character, but when I saw the /twirl for fem vs male characters I was so so disappointed. I do get trying to keep male emotes looking cool, but it's a TWIRL emote, trying to make it cool defeats the whole purpose. Almost every time I see a new emote that I like, it turns out the male version is entirely different, and IMO usually looks like a half-hearted afterthought. As others have said, it just looks like random emotes before a twirl (literally /welcome and a random /cpose before a spin and /think). I'd imagine fem character players would be similarly frustrated, seeing as they have no choice but to be very feminine with every emote. It would be easily solved by simply giving two separate versions of emotes!! (Also what is it with lala having their own unique animation for /twirl?)
I'm interested in the male version of /twirl for this reason so adding my support for this (on various emotes)
