    At least if it was shared and had actual interactions between players, but here the only interaction we get is participating into filling the same progression bars, by collecting imaginary virtual resources that aren't even pooled together either but handled as individual tokens used for scoring..

    The devs are obviously able to cap/timegate content, they do it with savage which is played by a small section of the player base so that it is not over and done with too quickly. So why not cap the content that is literally accessible to the entire game populace
    Never mind time gating 'completing' savage. They don't even want to ever start it. (unless your no lifing your crafting and gil farming)

    I really enjoyed restoring Doma.
    What is the point in 'community' content, that the community can't join in on.
    (Doesn't affect me. Crafting and gathering is soured for me now with the whole savage race so I'm just going to take a look in on the moon - whenever, but I can see its a missed opportunity for those that would appreciate it.)

Also, we were promised we could see every steps. People starting in a couple of month will see the zone already finished.     But realistically it is quite impossible to account for several timezones, for several different activity levels, for several months all while sharing a cohesive progression check, and making sure no one misses out on any step.

    I'd love to see a good example in any MMO that has achieved such a task while accomodating all of these variables. Do you have one or are we now just asking SE for the impossible?

    You simply make the work required to reach each check-point long enough such that it doesn't get completed before you've made morning coffee. That is complicated in 14 due to the uneven population on different DCs - a problem SE created.

    Ok I am a bit bummed about this. I didn’t event know this content was dropping today. Just saw the social media posts and was like oh cool I’ll check this out in a few days when I have time to play new content. But now I find out it’s a server progress system like firmament and not a solo content like island sanctuary. And apparently I’ve missed the boat by just being at work and not having time to game until the weekend?

    How is that fair!?

    Surely they can create instanced zone for each stage of the development so people can experience the content from the start if they join late.

    This is the result of what happens when the point of this thread goes completely over your head, or you are simply not comprehending at all, or you are deliberately trying to be disingenuous...

    Long-form content is good, but the progression aspect is still FOMO ultimately, and you can have both simultaneously, and neither contradict......

    I wonder if you're just misinterpreting things on purpose to sound antagonistic, since that seems to be what you always do. "punishing people who can't play all day" here doesn't mean "people who can't afford to spend all day grinding". It means "punishing people who have to go to work because the event is done mid-morning."
