    Regarding Issues with the Windows® Launcher Display (Apr. 22)

    Since the release of Patch 7.21, we have confirmed that the text and images on the Windows® version launcher are either enlarged or shrunk and are not being displayed properly.

    We have determined from our investigation that it is being affected by the Windows® text size settings due to the changes in the launcher rendering system in Patch 7.21.
    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but if you are unable to log in due to the Square Enix ID or password input fields not being displayed, we kindly ask that you temporarily adjust the following Windows® settings to the extent possible.
    *Please note that these settings will affect all text sizes on your PC.

    ■Windows® accessibility settings
    “Settings” → “Accessibility” → “Text size”

    We are continuing to investigate and address the issue and kindly ask for your patience. Additional information will follow as the situation develops.

    Since the release of Patch 7.21, we have confirmed that the text and images on the Windows® version launcher are either enlarged or shrunk and are not being displayed properly. We are sharing the current situation as we have confirmed that it affects other things in addition to the Windows® text size settings.

    We have determined from our investigation that it is being affected by the Windows® text size settings due to the changes in the launcher rendering system in Patch 7.21.
    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but if you are unable to log in due to the Square Enix ID or password input fields not being displayed, we kindly ask that you temporarily adjust the following Windows® settings to the extent possible.

    ■Regarding the Windows® text size
    It might be affected when the text size on Windows® is not set at 100%. We kindly ask that you temporarily adjust the text settings to 100% to the extent possible.

    ■Windows® accessibility settings
    “Settings” → “Accessibility” → “Text size”
    *Please note that these settings will affect all text sizes on your PC.

    ■Regarding the settings when using high DPI displays
    It might be affected depending on the settings of high DPI scaling and resolution. We kindly ask that you temporarily change the high DPI scaling settings as follows.

    1. Right-click ffxivboot.exe and select properties.
    2. Open the setting screen from "Compatibility tab" → "Change high DPI settings "
    3. Tick the "Override high DPI scaling behavior" on "High DPI scaling override", and change "Scaling performed by:" to "System (Enhanced)".
