My only criticism thus far is the grind equivalent to Pteranodon appears to be focused around doing the Red Alerts as opposed to pure grinding.
The whole detachment of materials, and them being pre-provided is a double edged sword... Since a lovely part about Ishgard Restoration was the whole communal aspect, e.g., you would see gatherers funneling materials into people focusing on crafters
you wouldn't want any possible mmo aspect though. this is far better, for that solo playMy only criticism thus far is the grind equivalent to Pteranodon appears to be focused around doing the Red Alerts as opposed to pure grinding.

Wow they made an instance to do solo leve quests
I was in there for a while with some FC friends and had a fun time. For content based around crafting and gathering I think they did a pretty good job keeping it fairly interesting, but at the end of the day it's still crafting and gathering. They're not exactly the most high octane jobs in the game.
Did they say how long before we get another planet? I liked this kind of thing but I had a tendency to try and rush this content and get severely burned out.
