Could I skip the dungeon quest in MSQ?

My friend and I are new to FF14 and going through the Heavensward MSQ - LOVE the Story! But we are stuck on this dungeon quest Lord of the Hive for 3 days because the game couldn't find enough people needed. Perhaps waiting longer (> 1 hr) could help, but our schedule only allows minimal game time, and it seems silly to spend that just waiting. Is there a way to skip a dungeon quest like this so we can move on?

Now our game time is ending, and we are wondering if it's worth continuing. It's a shame because we love the story.

Instead of using the duty finder place the fight in Party Finder or ask in the Novice chat for help you will fill the party fast. If not bothered about the fight you could even get a high level to unsync and kill it solo for you.

I echo this. Open the party finder in the menu and put words like "MSQ unsync"

Since your new, you go into the duty finder and there's a cog at the top. Click unsync and anyone that helps will be a levels higher than the duty. (Just make sure you turn it off after)

You can do this for most duty's if you can't find a que. What server are you on?

1. You are playing on Anima, a Japanese world. The dungeon queues match you based on language. Needless to say, most people on Japanese worlds speak Japanese. Therefore, you need to adjust the matching so it puts you with Japanese players.

Do this by pressing U (or typing /dutyfinder), then going to the gold bar at the top and clicking the Cog Wheel (* button), then select J as a language.

2. You can do the dungeons with Duty Support. There is no command for this as far as I know.

3. Lord of the Hive is a trial (so you do it with 8 people similar to Leviathan and Ramuh). A higher level player can help you kill this in a few hits if you recruit for help in /partyfinder and select "Unrestricted". You will also need to select "Unrestricted" when you queue for it using the gold bar at the top of Duty Finder again.

4. You can't actually skip it. Even if you pay money for a story skip and replay the story with New Game+, it will still ask you to complete the trial eventually, although you may have the gear to solo it by then using the Unrestricted setting.

Ahh a JP server.

Start by opening the party finder: type the name of the duty and hit tab (R1 on ps5) you will see 2 coloured arrows in the name of the duty. That will auto translate it for people viewing it.

So (lord of the hive) TAB (unrestricted) TAB (main story) TAB

Goto duty finder - cog top left select unrestricted party so it has a tick

Not sure if you are doing it on your character linked to your forum profile but you can easily do it unsynced on a lv90 BRD

Then you can unsync it with Duty Finder - cog (top left) tick un restricted party - confirm then que.

Or the other way, upto you. Fingers crossed you get it done! Goodluck!

There's no need to resort to doing it unrestricted. Adjust your DF settings to match you with other languages (Jeeqbit posted the instructions earlier) and then you can just queue as normal and get the full experience.

Sorry for the late response and thank you all for the great suggestions! We will definitely give them a try. Can't wait to continue the story!
