To be frank, yes you should have it on. It's about the aggro management if you don't want to main tank.

I'll even Shirk someone in my group to reduce my aggro if I am creeping up on the MT in aggro. Because one or two hits from me, and I am already back above anyone in my group. Those that never have it on in a raid should frankly not even bother, if you aren't ready to take over if/when MT dies. Don't rely on someone else to do the job you signed up for, just do it.

There is a chance you could get banned, if they report you for lethargic game-play, killing your group or others by not aggroing mobs. It would be like healers not healing people, letting them die and DPS just standing there doing nothing but they run with the raid.

How i can manage aggro in allaince raids while having tank stance always on if i constaly keep stealing aggro from other tanks just by doing dps rotation?
And even if i use shirk to lower my aggro on boss before i steal the aggro from other tank then what if i still ended up stealing the aggro from the other tank just doing my dps rotation before i can use shirk again?

I'm always ready take over of aggro of the boss when main tank dies, which is why i keep track of other tanks HP and when i see that the main tank died then i turn tank stance on and provoke boss fast as possible.

So then only way i can prevent stealing aggro of the boss from other other tank while i'm not a main and having tank stance always on is never doing my dps rotation.
Yes, i know that i can take main tank role in allaince raids but problem is that almost always other tanks start to constantly steal aggro of the boss from me by spamming provoke every time i get aggro of the boss just by using my full dps rotation.
