Unhappy Will i get banned for not using tank stance all the time in alliance raids?

Will i get banned for not using tank stance all the time in boss fights in alliance raids and raids?

When for some reason some players gets really mad at me for not using tank stance on boss fights in alliance raids when i don't want steal aggro of the boss constantly from the other tank who aggro the boss first.

So now i will NEVER play as tank when i fully fear getting banned for not using tank stance all the time in boss fights in allaince raids and raids.

Or you could just use common sense and provoke/turn on tank stance when the other tanks aren't doing it an some poor DPS gets aggro.

And just don't worry about the rest?

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

Not unless it leads to something that can be considered MPK, tbh.

Just make sure you're second or third highest enmity in normal, alliance raids respectively and you'll be fine.

I usually just turn it off and then on again after a little... That way if any tanks die I'll just pick it up... Don't need to always have it on, or always have it off.

How i can make sure to have second or third highest emnity in normal raids and allaince raids if i ended up stealing the aggro of the boss from other tank just by doing my dps rotation while having tank stance turned on.

I don't know if turning tank stance on and off constantly won't cause some players getting really mad at me, when they already gets really mad at me for activationg tank stance when needed in situations like when main tank dies and when bosses add phase is starting.
MPK is "Mass player killing", which is SE's terminology for intentionally wiping the group or deliberately letting a wipe happen. Using Provoke while your stance isn't on will automatically put you second on threat, so you can just do that periodically if you have a free oGCD window. There are some fights, like Ozma and Cid, where you need to have your stance on because the boss targets the top 3 on threat, but in most cases it's not something you need to worry about.

You won't if it's not required.

If no other tank uses it or your specific party has an add it is meant to fight, and you don't tank it, it's possible someone may report it as griefing.

Personally, I keep stance on always. I do not use Provoke. May the best dps tank win - that's my mentality.

I just keep it on unless I am working with a co tank specifically and we worked it out beforehand. random content? you better believe it's on full time. never know when you have to peel something off someone who did something they shouldn't.

Shirk is useful for aggro control, though it doesn't work across parities so you can't use it in alliance. If you find yourself in a similar situation in a trial or normal raid, it's helpful to remember it. Tank Stance is an OGCD at least so you can flip it on/off as needed. If you're not the main tank leave it off for the pull until you get through burst and then turn it on. If you see yourself climbing in enmity, turn it back off for a while.

If you go this route, please make sure you're hanging out at The Tank Spot (true north or relative north, depending on the fight) next to any other tanks you're in a provoke war with.

Nothing more irritating than a tank trying to fight for aggro from behind and playing Spin The Cleaving Boss right on the alliance - that too is a form of MPK

No you cannot get banned, in fact depending on the way you are being told, chances are they are violating terms.

It is prohibited to force personal views or disregard the opinions of others. If a report has been filed and the prohibited activity is confirmed, a penalty will be issued.

It is prohibited to make statements such as:
"There's no way we can clear this with [suggestion]."
"Big pulls are normal here, so do it!"
"I don't care what you think, just follow my instructions."
"I'm not asking for your opinion."
They might be referring to the following but you'd have to be like intentionally shirking onto non tanks or such. If you are really paranoid about it just turn it off when you see yourself gaining aggro.

・Aiding the enemy / Uncooperative behavior / Lethargic behavior
Refers to an act of performing actions that give an advantage to an enemy (monsters, or the opposing team/players in PvP content) by not performing the necessary gameplay required of the situation. This may be combined with combat sabotage as well.
    Key Points
Each player has a different level of skill, and in some cases, there may be a situation where the duty/content will fail. From the perspective of a skilled player in such a situation, a less skilled player may appear to be "adversarial/uncooperative/apathetic," but even if this is the case, it is not a violation as long as the player is playing appropriately.

For example, the following types of situations fall under the act of giving an advantage to the enemy (or the opposing team/players in PvP content):
"I don't want to heal because there is a player I don't like in the group."
"I don't think we can clear this anyway, so I'll just get hit by the enemy attack and go AFK after I'm knocked out."
"I'm going to join the opposing team as a healer and do nothing so my friends on the other team can win the PvP content."
If a report has been filed and the prohibited activity is confirmed, a penalty will be issued.

Please note that Square Enix may conduct investigations and issue a penalty in its discretion even if a report has not been filed if the act has been confirmed publicly through online video, streaming services, or other means.
