    Ishgardian fortress ≠ Ishgard.

    Yoshi has stated in a past interview (back when 2.0 was first unveiled) that he wants to make the opening of Ishgard part of a large scale event, but the current servers don't support enough characters/enemies onscreen at one time. Because of this, he plans on opening Ishgard shortly after the launch of 2.0.

    So yeah, I'm willing to bet the city proper isn't destroyed at all.

    They should open Ishgard..let everyone inside..and then Dalamud actually falls and crushes Ishgard and everyone inside. No Return, no GM removal, you stay smooshed until the 2.0 servers get launched.

    muhahaha..I'd be there too of course.
