It's time (Option to Hide other players Glamour)

So now that we have female characters tanking in string bikini's and now men in wedding dresses, it's time to adopt an option a lot of other games have: Hide Glamour. Naturally troglodyte are going to assume it's because of the men in dresses. It's actually because it's breaks the theme and feel of it being a final fantasy game. Tanks should wear plate, healers should wear robes, and no one should be in a fight seriously wearing carbuncle slippers and lingerie.

I don't propose a limit to glamour, I just want to be able to turn off other players glamours displaying on my client. That way they can "Express" themselves all they want, and I don't have to suffer another topless male in a thong.

Everyone should be able to play however they like, and wear whatever they like.
But I for myself would enjoy dungeon runs better if tanks weren't wearing bikinis and in slippers...


It doesn't affect gameplay, I'll hear detractors say. Well, neither does glamour and yet we all use it. It'd be the same deal here.

If you think scantily clad males ruin the "Final Fantasy" feel, then you clearly have never played a lot of Final Fantasy games.

Nothing wrong with tanking in skimpy clothing. That doesn't just apply to video games and anime. It worked for those guys in 300 as well until the lack of a healer caught up with them... >.>

I've played them most. Cloud, Squall, Tera, Zidane didn't spend the ENTIRE game fighting the forces of opposition in a string bikini with summer sunglasses. it makes your character look stupid. And I'd like the option to hide it. That way you can "Express yourself" all you want, but people who want a more final fantasy/serious experience don't have to look at ridiculous characters that don't make any sense.

Zidane might not have saved the world in a string bikini but Kuja destroyed one in a cod piece and cut off top. Also Squall might be full clothed but Ultimicia's cleavage goes down to her you know what.

That's the beauty of it being an option. You don't have to 'Go for it.' It'd be my choice, and you wouldn't know about it either way. You get to live your best life being a fem ro wearing a sailor outfit tanking with a fish in your main hand, and I get to play the game without being disgusted looking at you!
