when im running in the park.. I rarely spend much time focusing on the quality of the grass under my feet, so I can avoid tripping. Come on now. It's a low res video, and still better looking then most grass on MMO's, GW2 grass isn't impresive at all and is jagged.

So I wouldn't act arrogant about the visuals just yet. The little things matter, it turns a bad game into a decent game, and a good game into a great game.

Graphical quality is one of those little things.

Look around the 0:15-20 mark and there's a closeup of the grass/plants... looks pretty good to me, even in this poor quality video.

Alright, having now watched the entire thing, my thoughts are as follows:

They have done a truly spectacular job. The game seems to flow well, the UI looks intuitive and fun to use, and the environments are breathtaking. The only thing that I am at all sad about is that the fidelity of the character animations seems to have gone down a bit. When he run sideways and walks backward, the animations aren't as fluid as they are now.

That aside, I am just totally blown away, I had moderately high expectations, but this really does look totally spectacular. No telling for sure yet until we can get our hands on it, but, great job so far guys. A big thumbs up to the dev team.

See, all SE needed was a little push (well not a little), and a bit of this term called "high expectation", and this could be the best MMO ever. If we keep making excuses and keeping low expectation, it would not have gotten this far.

Btw, jumping over a fence is not useless. It's fun. Once you've jumped over a fence, you will never want to go back to all these invisible walls of v 1.0

You can post as many stupid pictures as you want, the point remains. On its own the textures don't matter much, as the part of a larger body they do matter.
