(I didn't see if anyone mentioned this, but...)
In the video the character is "Square Enix", right?
The other characters are "Gamescom [Eins/Zwei/Drei]" (aka 1,2,3 en Deutsche)
So I think that someone behind the scenes was doing the Square Enix footage live as Yoshi-P was talking, following some basic "lines", and the other characters were probably players trying it out in the SE booth, where the booth reps would ask them to cooperate with the main character. That's why they'd get the video /first/, it's Live, not pre-scripted, which...personally, I appreciate more. It's truly showing off the game to anyone who can see it, and thanks to the cameraman, we got to (early).

I think that meteor thing might be the reformed battle regimen...
It looks so good! It's just making me even more excited!Originally Posted by Gamerscape E3 interview

GE: Similar to crafting, what changes can we expect to see to the battle system in 2.0? Are battle regimens going to make a comeback?
Yoshida: We are completely revamping the battle regime system. It will be graphically stunning and big.
Also, I was one of the people not looking forward to jump, but after seeing this I know it will grow on me. It's tasteful, not springing 15ft in the air, and I love the idea of being able to jump on choco + the little flapflap is so cute :3
Well done![]()

didnt SE mentioned that they want to publish an ingame trailer??
As you can see in the trailer ... and as yoshida said in an interview he calls it "Limit-break" that will work only in group. for spells, or melee special limit breaks.

Hence why I said "reformed" and why I posted the quote from the interview to back up my speculation, never said they didn't change the name of the system :P

Back to the video. In this video, there is no battle log, not saying there wont be, just saying that instead, looking like they implemented one of those scrolling 3d-text damage graphics things.

They probablly kept the current log system where you can have up to four chat logs and turn them on an off at will.

Wow...movement animations have been REALLY smoothed out. Strafing is actually possible, too. The lalafell doesn't seem like its moving in fast-forward mode compared to everyone else. Good start.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
* Design ideas:
Red Mage - COMPLETE (https://tinyurl.com/y6tsbnjh), Chemist - Second Pass (https://tinyurl.com/ssuog88), Thief - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/vdjpkoa), Rune Fencer - First Pass (https://tinyurl.com/y3fomdp2)

the people that point out the grass (which looks fine by the way) in all of the beauty of that footage are the same kind of people that would not date Megan Fox because of her thumbs. i mean seriously, if you're so uptight about realistic grass why don't you go outside for once and roll in it, maybe eat a handful?
this is a huge step forward for this game, deal with it.
/end rant
