NA Housing Demolition?

Not to be insensitive, but how much longer is it expected for NA housing demolition to be suspended? The situation in LA is pretty much resolved by now and it seems strange keeping all of NA without almost any new cycling houses for this long after the events happened there. Do these normally only change when full patches happen?

Those don't have a house want a demolition timer active; but once these people obtained one, they immediate do a 180 degree turn and against the demolition timer.

honestly I can't wait for it to be done so I can bid on a house not gonna lie and I do also think people should only be able to own 2 house per data center max. counting main and alt

I agree, it's time to unlock the housing timer. If it's stopped for every major disaster in the US, you might as well not have it at all, because the country is non-stop natural disasters.

The system was presumably designed around Japanese natural disasters, which (to my understanding) tend to be tied to earthquakes and volcanism which occur on irregular cycles.

NA disasters, however, are largely weather related, and on a seasonal basis. "Sending our hearts out" basically means hardlocking houses for entire seasonal periods (hurricane season tends to take up the entire autumn, and then there is West Coast wildfire season after that, as now). Climate change has made everything more intense as well, further increasing the odds that an occurrence during a particular season will be bad enough to justify a pause.

In fact, the only time it seems like housing timers are ever going to be on regularly anymore in NA is going to be in the summer (the main destructive weather during this time period is tornadoes, which as a Midwesterner I can note generally have much more limited zones of impact).

And then add in that every other summer is xpac launch season so everyone comes back and gets to reset their timer even if it's on ... So people can get houses during the .3 patch lull and that's it?

This isn't workable.
