Please address the red trim on Bastion's Coat.

This is an amazing GNB coat that is made practically unusable by that area of red at the bottom of the coat, and that's coming from someone who likes the color red quite a bit. There are two major issues with it.

    1. Personally I think it clashes with the rest of the coat. The smaller red accents look fine but making the entire bottom half of the coat red just looks like you waded through some kind of muck. It doesn't look good.

    2. More importantly, this area is not dyeable so you have no choice either way. Red is a bold primary color and doesn't look good next to everything, so this locks you out of most of the dyes in the game. If you don't like the default look or the few colors that complement a giant red area, this coat is pretty much useless. I rarely see people running around with this coat presumably for that reason.

The coat's design overall is fantastic but SE's bizarre design choice with the colors here makes it very difficult to work with. It would be wonderful if this could be addressed in some way eventually. A few solutions off the top of my head:

    - Make the red area dyeable with the second channel that also covers the collar.

    - Remove that red area entirely and make it the same color as the rest of the coat.

    - Add a second version of the coat without that red area, similar to what they did with the Virtu job sets which dye differently than the originals.

    Thanks!

I second this. You'd think including it with the second dye channel would be the most obvious choice. Choosing the white collar instead of the red accents is just plain strange. This and a number of other items added in 7.0 and later (such as the neo-kingdom healer/caster hats, on which the bottom of the brim is split into two different sections, one of which can't be dyed) seem to have intentionally bad dye channels.

My guess is that the red bit being a gradient is what prohibits it from being dyeable but I don't recall if there are any other gear pieces where that has already been done.

Gentlebean set already lets you dye both sides of the gradient.

I look just like the roes next door... if you happen to live next door to an amusement park.

Well then there you go. I see no reason why this coat should be an exception in that case.
