Astro has lower damage because they have better buffs. Including these buffs astro is better

Astro has way more in its toolkit then white mage non damage wise.

Going off tangent from this reply here: let’s just say I’m putting on my optimistic hat & assume the OP isn’t a joke, I do want to point out that SE do not really do justice to make many buffs feel impactful. A damage increase that are almost as good as the fluctuating 5% high/low roll are already barely noticeable on the fly. Add to top of that—if you’re soloing as an AST, the damage on Fall Malefic is already akin to tossing wet noodles, a 6% increase isn’t going to be perceived at all.

I don’t agree with OP’s proposed adjustment, but at the very least I wish the buffs that buffer job provides can be felt throughout the gameplay without having to look up somewhere.

AST is way stronger than WHM. You have no idea what you're talking about. The buffs that AST gives to their party adds damage to their own, which ends up being more than a WHM does. So the more damage your teammates do as AST when your buffs are up, the more damage YOU do. AST is meta and used first in all high end content because it's extremely strong. it has more healing CDs than whm, more mit, and brings more damage. I'm not sure where you got the opposite impression from, but there is data online that can prove you are incorrect.

Astro is in a state as it litterally handed WHM a shovel and told him to start digging.
The kit is way better suited for the nowdays fight design and provide more to the group.

I could have played shield for way to long that I struggles with pure but when I play whm and astro. Whm feel fine when I heal but astro feel weird like some healing are well not as good essential dignity feel strange to use and not strong enough
