Crafting Material / Two different icons for same material/name/description.

    Hello All

I couldn't find an answer anywhere to my question, so I try the forum. As it's my first time posting here, feel free to let me know if I do anything wrong.

I try to explain my issue as clearly a possible. I take the example of my today's case happening with "Hard Leather" material. I have two different inventory slots with hard leather and can't merge them, although at first sight, they seem to be the same.

After checking carefully, I can see two differences:
    - By the icons: One is standard, the other has the standard drawing too, but with tiny bubbles of light in the upper left corner additionally.
    - By the names: The name corresponding to the icon with the light bubbles has a strange symbol right side of it.

Could someone please explain what mean those differences?
The "embellished" hard leather doesn't seen to be OK for crafting so I don't seem to be able to do anything with it?

    Thank you for help.

One is “high quality” and one is not

High quality items have a chance of being made based on a bunch of different conditions in the crafting system that’s a bit too complex to explain in one post. If you use high quality materials in the making of other things the new item also has a higher chance of being high quality

You can’t stack a high quality item with a normal quality item, though if you don’t need the item to be high quality you can right click and reduce quality to stack it with the normal quality item

Thanks a lot for the explanation.

I suppose I can't use it for now because I craft low level stuff. Again thank you.

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

You can use it. On the recipe window it shows how many you need of each ingredient, with 2 columns for every item. "Normal quality" items are the left column, with the "high quality" ones on the right. There should be arrows you can use to change the portions of normal and high quality mats. Without overly explaining(the game will give you some of this later), you craft an item by filling the top "progress" bar. To make an item higher quality you fill the bottem "quality" bar. At very low levels, you dont have any skills that influence the bottem bar. A full quality bar guarantees a high quality finished item, with the percentage being higher the closer it is to full. But even at 0 quality added to the bar, you always have a 1% chance to get lucky with a high quality finish. For items with stats(potions, food, gear, etc) getting an HQ finished result gives you a 10% bonus to the stats(the potions also have a shorter re-use timer).
