Greetings, my friends!

The Adventurers Guild is a new roleplaying centric free company based on Malboro! Not located on our server or already part of a Free Company you like? No problem! Those who join the Fellowship and/or the discord (preferably the latter) will be treated like members of the Free Company!

What's the point of the Adventurers Guild?

Not to state the obvious, but to adventure out into the world, of course! Our community focuses on two major aspects: roleplaying out in the world and immersive character development. We want our members to experience the life of a true adventure through the eyes and experiences of their characters. From helping the denizens of the world to dealing with whatever threats may come their way, if you're seeking to experience what Hydaelyn has to offer, we are the guild for you!

But what if I'm new to the game or new to roleplaying?

Both are absolutely fine! Our community seeks to be a haven for new and veteran players and role-players alike. Our systems encourage all members to start from the ground up, so it works perfectly for new players or veteran players wanting something fresh and new to experience.

What's something unique about your Free Company? How's it different than other adventuring companies?

Well, first there's the ranking system. Styled in a traditional Adventurer Guild ranking structure of Copper Plate and all the way up to Adamantium Plate, each rank offers an increasingly more difficult challenges. Each rank comes with new skills to unlock, to goals to create and meet and other aspects that will encourage growth in your character.

To aid in that, we have an active Job Board which will offer an assortment of quests for characters to pick up and go RP with. These are based on the character's rank, offering challenges often catered to their plate level. It is as simple as logging in, looking at what's available, grabbing a dungeon master (and maybe some friends!) and going out and having fun!

Then there's the immersive aspect! Characters coming in will have skill points to use on what skills they have coming into the guild. From there immersive learning is part of the game! Mentors will be around to coach your character in new skills or jobs that they want to learn in-character. Want to be a Gladiator with a healing spell? Sure! Want to be a Lancer that can go invisible? Can do that too! Our goal is to allow character freedom, letting them build uniquely powered characters in a fun and immersive way! We also encourage our players to roleplay out wounds and broken gear and having both mended!

We also plan on having a leaderboard for total jobs completed!

But what if my character isn't combat oriented or an adventure?

We have a place for everyone here! Non-combatants get a special Platinum Plate. These are for characters who are affiliated traders, service providers and generally serve in other roles to support the Adventurers Guild. They receive unique mechanics to also encourage their growth in develop through interacting with guild members and even helping to design (and/or lead) different jobs!

So if you're just a regular ol' blacksmith or a tavern keeper or a textile merchant or any type of character that provides a non-adventuring service, you'll also find a place here!

Will there be story arcs or campaigns? If so, will my character fit in?

Yes and no! There are plans to have story arcs and connected events but nothing on the level of, say, a grand campaign. Most of these arcs will be told through a series of jobs with the occasional 'large event' that anyone will be able to sign up for. Jobs will not be broadcasted other than to show which ones have been picked up and completed, leaving it to players to spread the word of their feats and accomplishments, often leaving other members to be surprised when something bigger comes along.
