Elitism in this game is a massive problem. It's sometimes approaching WoW levels of toxic. If you're not perfect at Savage, people think you're trash.

LMAO
Always expecting everyone else to do all the work and pick up all the slack.
The most disgusting thing about your whiny tirade is, that you don't even acknowledge all the work that "the elites" are actually doing. From putting out the guides on practically every activity of this game in text and video form, to organizing runs of various content, to writing tools that help organize these activities. Subbing for various statics despite not needing any loot, even just helping with prog by playing a different role for a fight they already know within a static that is starting a fight from scratch. But to know that would require actually doing stuff, getting to know people and who they are / what they do. I guess it's a lot easier to hide behind an alt and throw verbal feces around in the forum. Utterly disgusting behavior. In almost all successful professional spheres in real life, the phrase "train your relief" is the gold standard. If the new guy can't do what you do, then YOU and ONLY you, have failed to ensure he can. Again, software cannot fix this for you. It's up to you to train someone to be at the standard you want them at.
"but klu, I don't wanna-"
Well obviously. It's evident that "you don't wanna".
And where's that attitude getting you?
Better than two decades of "raiding" being common parlance and inevitable, ever present stories of raid teams falling apart and disbanding because "no one wanna" do the work to make the system... well, work.
Twenty years of MMO-in, and the elitists are still complaining that they can't find enough elites to fill the bench and keep burnout at bay.
Why do you think the rules of the professional world DONT apply to what you're doing here, fellas?
Train your relief, or go extinct. Like everyone else before you.
EDIT: Since you mentioned professionals, the FF14 community in quite a significant amount has an attitude towards the game that would get them fired on basically any job on the spot. Tanks in lvl 99 dungeons not using any mit, healers not GCD healing during prog despite bosses pelting the group with raidwides, dps not doing aoe on trashback, or dps never bothering actually learning their rotation, at times with 80% or less uptime, people in Frontline not bothering actually participating in PvP. Point any of that out, and the usual reaction is one of an emotionally unstable teenager, not an up and coming "professional" who is genuinely trying to learn something.
