Let Players Change All Face Options At Aesthetician

Would be very nice, or atleast add an ingame way of getting fantasias maybe? How about making them gemstone vendor rewards maybe? Just a suggestion.

You should be able to change more at the Aesthetician. For example, Hyur males can't shave off stubble without using fantasia, because it's tied to the face type. That's kinda ridiculous.

That is a totally fair thing to request, and should be how it is by default, but you know and I know that fantasias are basically keeping this incompetent company afloat. MMOs make up some grotesque amount of Square's profits, and XIV is their biggest MMO and XIV's biggest moneymakers are likely fantas since they're repeat purchases and the game's set up where you need to use them to change basic shit like your eye color so people buy up multiple over time. Whenever they go on sale, the same whales come out to purchase dozens of them too. Like, if they ever needed a cash infusion, they could just do a 50% off sale on fantas and XIV players would come out in droves to help fund the next slop game to come out of that company.

So yeah, they will never jeopardize it. There's no logical reason for them to. I do agree with you though; it'd be nice. Everyone should just boycott purchasing fantas until things change tbh.

Seeing as Hrothgar still have hairstyles locked to face types. It is long overdue for an upgrade to the Aesthetician.
Fantasia only needs to be for race, gender and birthday/patron deity changes anyway.

Wow let's you do it. You can even change from Male to Female. I'm down 100%. Make actual race changes cost money. Would the money hungry SquareEnix do it? Absolutely not, but it's got my vote.

The race/clan definitely would, but gender probably would have to remain Fantasia too, just due to the process of updating your character’s model for gear purposes. And unfortunately I can see them limiting face changes as well for that reason, especially with Viera/Hrothgar, who can’t wear most hats (still!) and have limitations based on faces.

But seriously every cosmetic option should be at the aesthetician. If it doesn’t affect how gear fits you, it shouldn’t require the whole “get naked, log out, make changes, log back in” process. I’m sure they’ll still make more than enough off of people who change race and/or gender every other week. lol

Seeing how WoW lets you change literally everything about your character within their race's limitations including gender for free. the restrictiveness of XIV's aesthetician bugs me more now.

You wouldn't have to give out free fantasias every patch when doing graphical updates if you finally just let people change all their face/body features at the Aesthetician. You should be able to change anything besides race/clan that comes after that. Faces, height, eyes, skin tone, etc. Even the super greedy Blizzard started letting people do that years ago and we are stuck having to pay for simply changing eye color.
