My prediction:

Playstyle: Like SMN. Generic AoEs and Generic ST depending on "summoned" beast.

Beast book: Gather beasts and add them to your book.

Weapon: Something that isn't a pokeball.

That's probably it. If it has literally any depth at all, such as teaching abilities, feeding them, letting them have children or using them as mounts, I'll be surprised, because depth isn't something SE usually bother with in FFXIV.

Not too sure about the Arcadion part considering the WoL is against regulators and using souls specifically both in the MSQ and the Arcadion story. I certainly hope BST is not some kind of "druid" archetype transforming using souls.

That's fair.
Although there is still precedent when SE needed a summoner job but primals were evil entities. I hope it doesn't transform either.

As much as I'd like BST to be the same as it's FFXI equivalent (I loved that job) or even on par with WoW's Hunter, unfortunately based on the DT story and the heavy focus on Arcadion/Solution 9 in end-game I can see it been a "You capture the souls of creatures you have fought in a regulator then can use their abilities in battle" or something to that effect.

Lets face it,. it'll be a SMN/BLU clone - the dev's are not exactly known for bringing us something unique and fresh at present.

Anyone saying BST is gonna use feral souls like the Arcadion fighters, has not been paying attention to the Arcadion story -- or the MSQ. BST is more than likely gonna be like XI's or what we've seen in Bozja. Even the VPR antagonist was doing beastmastery things.

And you probably haven't been paying attention to how primals have been treated since the very beginning, yet we're having jobs safely using them, and they even introduced a story macguffing in Endwalker to further seal the deal as it suited the story and lore of the moment.
But I do agree that I don't think they're going to go that path for BST.

TBH, my evil wish is that they make one of the requirements for unlocking BST behind finishing the Bozja storyline - it would make sense since that's where we're first introduced to the concept of the job properly, and also it would be really funny seeing the reactions from people. They won't, but it's still a funny idea.

It’s probably 2 patches away at this point, but I wish they’d at least give us some teasers here and there… I’d also really like to know what role gear it’s going to be using so I could start collecting gear sets with my maxed out poetics.

I really hope it's not the arcadion stuff cuz that seems too boring to me. I want to tame beast not merge with them. Most of these arcadion transformations are either furry bait or just ugly. The glamour i make would be overwritten by me with giant thighs and a snout xDDD
