Stuck in Data Center Transfer to Aether

I'm also seeing similar behavior (i.e., travel time now 60+ minutes with estimated travel time "Unknown"). For what it's worth, I was visiting Crystal and am trying to return to my home world on Dynamis.

This may be a silly question, but is there a recommended way of safely cancelling the transfer? Is it safe to just close / shut down the game?

I restarted the game and when I tried to log in again, the exact message popped up again with “Time Elapsed” starting at 0 minutes. At the start, I tried troubleshooting based on some solutions that worked for people in the past from some old Reddit posts, but nothing worked. This included changing my password and a method involving removing some text in the FFXIV.cfg file (which I restored since that didn’t work).

If you need to just close the game it seems that should be safe, but it appears that won’t cancel the transfer. It appears we are stuck in the transfer and cannot cancel it. If anyone finds a solution that works please share!

I’m in! The message just went away and I’m now successfully transferred to Aether, after ~2 hours. Curious if this spontaneously resolved for everyone else (aside from those on Crystal I assume).

I have been trying similar things myself, but my partner just linked me a lodestone post and it seems they are aware of the issue so best we can do is hope we get a fix soon, fingers crossed, friends!
