    No more 2 Minutes buff window

    My suggestion is simple, instead of the (20 seconds) buff window every 2 minutes, make all buffs last for (60 seconds), given that they need to be refreshed every 1 minute to maintain them for the duration of the fight.

    This will free the devs from the (2 min. Buff) mold which each job must fit into or be changed ( like EW PLD).

    Of course since the buffs will last for the full fight, they will be at a much weaker effect.

    Tell me what do you think? Do you have other suggestions? or do you feel we are way past the (change the 2 Min. Buff) idea at this point.

    Remove all raid buffs except from the rphys role, which would be its identity (and AST/SCH I guess?). Other roles don't need to be as involved on raid buff mechanics. Reforge the rphys buffs into the Foe Requiem model, giving players agency into when it is best to use them, and tying them to resources instead of timers instead of basic countdowns.
    This would be better already, but if encounters stopped following a rigid script at all times and required different party reactions, then this would shine even more.

    This would not change anything. It'd be nice button-debloating, but using a resource-per-second model if anything heightens the buff synchronization and optimization because you naturally still have burst windows in people's rotations.

    It's not a bad idea, but by itself it wouldn't be a good solution.

    No, it heightens the skill expression and generates different options and party models for different comps, like it used to in SB in spite of the void sucking presence of trick attack, that did exactly what you described and is the source of everything leading down the path to the 2min buffs. The 2min design is the final byproduct of old trick attack, because old trick attack already informed which jobs were meta and which weren't depending on whether they were able to burst within all TA windows or not.
    I do agree with one thing however though, being that having raid buffs by nature favors damage profiles that are designed around bursts, and the higher the burst vs filler damage ratio is, the better they fit into that kind of meta.

    oh I love that idea but healer could have defensive buff phys range could have DPS buff and viper and ninja could have defensive debuff.

    ok give healers a way to apply blind slow like holy stun gravity should apply heavy or give haste to itself something bio should apply slow and burn should apply a panic that lower target accuracy
