The unfortunate truthMMO as a genre is dead. Move on.
Go play single player open world games if you want something to grind. Go play multiplayer games like Helldivers 2 if you want to party up with friends. There's a reason the kids aren't playing MMOs, and it's not because they are kids. It's because the MMO genre only survives by pulling older gamers in with nostalgia. If you want value for money there are a ton of indie games out there.
It's why there's not many new MMOs coming out
I'm hoping Ashes of Creation will actually release and be good, but the devs seem way too ambitious that I'm concerned they might be biting off more they can chew
