Insufferable Cheaters and Aim Bots in PVP

I rarely report or comment things to FFXIV but its just annoying that the devs don't get the cheaters under control!

Since the beginning of Endwalker I play regulary PVP for the Currency and Season Rewards but also the improved pvp skill system made it more enjoyable.

But the cheaters and aim bots in the PVP destroy all the effort of the devs and enjoyment for the player.

I got sniped so many times as Bard even I was the last to arrive at a battle with at least 5 other allies and everyone who played pvp know that sniping anyone behind dozen other player is pretty pain in the arse to target, with mouse it isn't precise enough because it will often overlap with the hitbox of other players and even with bird perspective you cannot target pretty far and I am usually out of sight because I usually snipe people who are too daring and rush in our lines, with TAB on keyboard its pretty chaotic and random when people constantly change positions and with controller same problem but usually fast to TAB through at least!

Also I can often identify the players that cheat based on appearance/glams but without name i cannot report them!
The first suggestion, show the names because the hiding of the names it made pretty simple to cheat because no one can report them and the excuse because of safety is stupid because most multplayer show that because they need the playerbase to identify the cheaters!
Second suggestion, PVP Instances need to be seperated in premade parties and non-premade because the balance of it isn't given, pretty often the matches are one-sided when random parties meet premade ones and it is also not rare that these premade use plugins to coordinate attacks, at least make this possible and seperatd between randoms and premade or force these premade into other factions so they fight each other which made the amount of the cheaters "fairly"!

You cannot give away PVP just because some douchebags think they are better because they use aimbots and kill the joy for the people who are ACTUALLY good in PVP!

It's possible to select a specific target by clicking on their name in the enemy party list.

You can find out the name of a player on an opposing team by targeting them, right clicking and selecting "Examine". I'm not a huge fan of exposing opponent names more easily as it could quickly lead to bullying.

I agree that premades should only be matched with other premades in the interest of balance and fairness.

Regarding aimbots, if we're taking about CC then enemy players can be targeted via the player list. If we're taking about FL, it's possible an enemy had marked you and their teammates used the "target {marker}" feature to quickly target you. Alternatively you may have been "focus targeted" by one or more players so they could switch to you once you got in range. Without knowing more it's hard to say, but in my experience aimbots are not really a problem outside of things like samurai auto-LBing someone with that purple debuff.

I know that the Devs and Players are afraid of harassment from ppl that are bad losers and flame ppl for "losing their game". And ofc I mean Non-CC PVP there isnt a enemy party list, and I usually behind the line as Bard or WHM to heal retreating mates and snipe straying enemies and cover allies retreat as bard.
But some matches were cursed, one time behind combat line nearly out of range surround by dozen allies which are more easy to target and out of nowhere got hit by 5 Limitbreaks at once no chance to use my shield or heal at all and even marked such coordination out of range is nearly impossible and need pretty disciipline peeps who are exactly in the same range to their intended target especially when most of them are pushed by my own mates!
And it happened in two different pvp instances in a row same ppl with same glam and constellation of party.

And about seeing the name in "Examine" hard to check them out in middle of the fight and then no submenu to report directly hard to remember multiple cheaters and like said targeting not easy task when they constantly walk around.

P.S.: If anyone want to say i talk about this because it happend only to me and makes myself a sore loser, here further info, I observed this on other mates in the 2 matches and they also wrote in party chat that they got hit by 5 LB at once, my suspiscion to this day it was probably one peep that had 4 other Accounts and used 3rd party to control them at once!

That sounds like a standard premade tactic to me. You only need 4 players coordinating in VC to obliterate a target. Naturally they just pings and macros in alliance chat to get even more players to sync up with them and steamroll any opposition. Putting them in their own matchmaking queue would help balance things out significantly.

the other day i had that, used insta skill but the guy i was chasing from behind (who should not have seen i was after him unless he had is cam turned very sharp behind himself which i doubt as he was chasing someone from the other team) used his shield, on full health a split second before my skill went off. I might not sound like it but it felt very off...

And just the other day i was (finally) lucky enough to end up with the premade... its insane, two ppl should be max unless you go for a premade vs premade round...

There is something called count down focus fire macro
You will actually seeing symbol on target count from 5 4 3 to a circle (symbol use critical action at circle)
This is very effective and target usually get vaporized
I often use this macro to get upper hand in Seize, onsal Hakir and Shatter
Again, human is a visual being, people will attack something that is flashy

I doubt anyone would go to the trouble of multi-boxing for FL. As Exmo notes, more likely just a premade.

I do think it would be helpful for parties to be identified by an additional symbol or possibly color coding.

its getting out of control, cheats have over 200,000 downloads and all these premades people keep claiming that nobody is cheating :P very funny, I ran into a dude the other way that was speed hacking in plain sight, no cares in the world. its getting out of control
