Petition for Hrothgar and Viera Headgear

Hello fellow Warriors of Light,

I’d like to bring attention to an ongoing issue that affects many players in our community: the lack of full headgear support for Hrothgar and Viera characters.

While we’ve seen some improvements over time, headgear compatibility for these two races remains limited—restricting player expression, glamour creativity, and in some cases, functionality. For a game that celebrates individuality and fashion through its robust glamour system, this limitation can feel isolating for those who chose these races for their unique aesthetic and identity.

������ We’re respectfully requesting that the development team consider further expanding headgear compatibility for Hrothgar and Viera.

We understand that implementing universal support takes time and resources, and we truly appreciate the updates that have already been made. But we also believe this is an important quality-of-life issue that deserves renewed attention—especially with growing interest in character customization across the board.

Screenshots have copy right and you are not allowed to use it outside of personal usage, a petition is not personal usage.
So if you have no money, the usage of an ai tool to visualize your idea, is not the worst idea.
No artist was hurt and rob there money from not hiring them.

I'm pretty sure most FFXIV players know what viera/hroth look like, along with hats, so it feels odd to say we didn't have any other resources available. Also, AI Gen steals from other artists and uses energy to create uncanny valley images for no reason. There are a bunch of stock images if you really need to show players what hats look like.

Hey, I totally get the AI thing. In this case, though, it wasn’t about replacing artists or cutting corners. We just needed a way to show what could be possible for Hrothgar and Viera if they could actually wear more hats. Screenshots wouldn’t help us convey something that’s not there (I may be wording that odd) , and the AI helped us illustrate the point quickly and clearly. That’s all. If we had a way to show it in-game—or the budget to commission something custom—we’d absolutely go that route. For now, this was just the most accessible way to add visuals and get the message across. If anyone wants to donate art to the cause, I’d love to feature it in the campaign! But since this isn’t monetized or being used for any kind of financial gain, I ultimately felt okay with using AI in this specific context.

Please don't use AI, even really bad paint job is better, I get you didn't want to pay for art made for it, but this really leaves a bitter taste of wanting to sign this, even as a hrothgar wanting hats

You had me until you showed the AI Slop
Consider removing the AI slop, if nothing else, because it looks rancid and bad
Use modified screenshots from the game, I know you can find some, those would have a higher impact

Considering there are plenty of, uh, visualization support things around related to the hat issue, not to mention free graphic programs like Krita or, idk, microsoft paint, I'm pretty sure there would have been options to get visualization without having to resort to AI trash.
