Outrageous! No monster should be harmed just because it ate an Lalafell! To be fair, I had the same thought a few times during the MSQ. Lolorito Chops à la Provençale... hm, delicious.
People often forget that ff14 world is pretty medieval. One can even argue it's barbaric. Just in term of animal/monster topic, uldah still have the gladiator arena, poachers are rampant in gridania, hunting animals/monsters is very normalized either for their body parts or because they're dangerous.
I think the adventurer guild posting request for adventures to kill some enemies is actually in-character with the setting/lore.
Nah, killing open world mobs just makes 0 sense
Is it growing soft, or is it growing wise?
No, I understand that. I still stop to do low-level fates and save NPCs struggling to fight monsters if I see them.Man... am I the only one who feels bad killing certain kinds of enemies? It's only gotten worse the older I get.
These guys squint, probably because they can't see very well... AND I RELATE SO HARD TO THAT. Also, when they die, the little spikes in their back become droopy and they just look so sad...
These little guys are just falling asleep next to a nice pot of soup. I'd rather be here with porxies to un-tamper them and make this a more pleasant forest than go around murdering them.
This dude is a mage. He's for sure a conscript. He probably doesn't even wanna be here. He probably was taken from his family by force, or his land got fkd up so bad by Garmalade that he has a better chance of providing for his family by taking this job. And we're just murdering him and the lot of soldiers that are probably in the same situation.
Spriggans are just adorable. They have that derpy face, and I just wanna hug one. They carry their rocks with care, and you can tell how much those rocks mean to the little guys. They're even carrying a little rock on their side in a little belt. I just don't like fighting them anymore, and I'll die for my little one over there, the tiny one on the right.
I'm probably missing some, but yeah. I think I've grown soft.
Ask for creatures of the world, say if they were on a huntbill and I only needed two but I aggro'd three I'll put the other one to sleep, then run away.
I don't like harming things if I don't have to there's a quest in Yanxia I never did though that involves setting up bear traps for the Tigers I guess around this one guys shack. I refused to do that one because I find such traps to be inhumane.
