Holy shit how did i not realize that xD
I think they remade the story to insert the ff9 nostalgia. To bait more customer.
My idea after all that "void" and "dragons" and the "allagan spaceship" on the moon we go to solution 9, the golden city, where the old allagans put themself in a virutal world. Because they know from the moon and the lopirites that there is a greater danger behind everything. Than we would go as heros in the virtual world, want them to wake up and they realize that they have no treat to rebuild there world. And we would face a new enemy an empire even more advanced, with the full power of the void to fight again. And later we will fiend out that behind that great allagan empire was even another treat the beings beyond the dreams. Like ulimta, that the allags have dig to deep in the life stream and the dimensional travel.
It would make far more sense to me, than to go on a ff9 plot. The golden city a old allagan city, empty, without a soul, to discover its secrets, a adventure where we wake up something that brings trouble. With huge warmachines fusion of allagan bio technology and magitek. A civilisation that even build a moon and had its first space travels. Not the garlean empire 2.0 in lighting aspect.
