I suspect the final boss will be the owner of the arcadion and the entire operation. I bet he has some nefarious plans, and he used the fighters as test subjects to enhance himself and achieve his ultimate form.

I was thinking something similar as one of my theories. Like the Grubba boss in Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door. If this is what actually happens I will laugh my behind off. xD
I mean, it makes no sense why he would push his fighters to keep fighting affected by the Nekrosis. If his ultimate goal were to get rich, keeping his top earners in top shape and funding a way to cure/ or allow a safe use of the Feral souls, he would have done it. Yet, it's clear that getting rich is not his ulterior motive.
Probably, he started the entire thing to fund his own research. Keep in mind apparently this tournament was before the migration of Alexandrians.. so... ye.
What would it be like if the dude were an Ascian and this was his way to unleash a calamity? Now that would be hilarious as hell and totally unexpected for me
