For context, I had a DRK in my team (Yellow) and B alliance that was loud and adamant that we all follow him (including constant commander spam) ...he then proceeded to repeatedly lead our team into death against Blue (while constantly ignoring Red taking all of our nodes/purposefully leading us into pinches) until Blue was at 660+, Red was at 580+ while we sitting pretty at barely over 300 before I suddenly found myself discharged. He also made an earlier stink about kills versus objectives and how "that's all we needed to win".

Methinks I triggered him and whoever his premade "friends" were, and I'm not even sure what I was removed for exactly. I also wasn't the only one who voiced suspicions in my chat/alliance either, so no telling who else in B got booted right before the end.
If there wasn't "one good call the whole game", that's on you and others for not putting forth better calls.

It's easy to complain that other people don't know what they're doing. It's much harder to actually step up and lead the alliance yourself. After all, if you know what would be "better," keeping that to yourself is functionally no different from trying to throw the fight.

    Yes, because that's the majority.

That sounds fine in principle, but it fails in practice.

Someone nominates themselves commander. They invariably do so in part because they queued in as a light party and know their friends will back them up, however bad they are.

I have pushed back against commanders, most commonly when they lead the team into a self-pinch. (I don't know why some commanders have a complete blind spot when it comes to the correct engagement point and route.)

The responses I've received from the commander's buddies include:

    "STFU he's carrying you."

    "Stop being toxic."

    "Play or get kicked."

    "Why don't you lead?"

The last question directly relates to your point. If a solo player starts countermanding orders, it's frequently going to make the situation worse. The zerg still rules in 7.2, and splitting it up when the commander is employing suicidal tactics isn't going to help.

I'd agree commanding an alliance is not easy, but some self-appointed commanders frankly have no idea what they're doing. And nobody voted for them to lead in the first place.

As a result of this, the only time I make suggestions in alliance chat is when there is no commander. I much prefer these matches where multiple people give suggestions and warnings. It does tend to require that the bulk of the team are looking at their maps and have a vague idea of how the mode works, however.

Correct. Since the accused has no right to defend themselves, a 4v3 vote is enough.

And it means a full premade has carte blanche to boot anyone they dislike, as happened to my main on two occasions.

You have to wait 5 minutes first it should be able to be done on the spot, that way those that are notorious at it can be kicked faster as well.

    EDIT:
Make it so you need to exit a little maze on start/re-spawn... and that you need to leave that area within 5 seconds or auto booted out of the game

When I queue into Frontlines, the absolute worst player to be in an alliance with is someone who passive-aggressively complains about others. I'm there to have fun. Offer something resembling constructive advice and strategy, or be silent. There's nothing fun about listening to someone complain about everyone but themselves, and given the option to boot such a complainer, I'd happily take it.

The number of times I've seen that happen is approximately zero, but I suppose it's easier to blame the premade boogieman than it is to reflect upon one's own skills.

Besides, there's only so many times I can yell "INCOMING PINCH" and "NEW NODES" before I realize the triangle is running INTO the former and actively ignoring the latter making me an unwitting accessory to their nonsense, or how if I had made any attempt to take the reins completely (not that anyone would ever listen to a MCH not out in front) it's clear I would have been vote kicked even sooner because how dare I suggest the premade didn't have everyone else's best interests in mind as evident by what happened the moment I suggested they were deliberately throwing at the point of no return after I got fed up and watched Red take ANOTHER S rank in our side of the caves with me and four others dying because we were the only ones who showed up to Red's entire alliance while the DRK was still dropping Salted Earth countdowns on the OPPOSITE side of the map. (I had just respawned when I dropped my accusation.)

Speaking of which, does it really only take 4 votes to get someone else removed? I've never had it happen to me before, and there were two others in B that were calling our DRK out too, so having them agree with my removal while agreeing with me about the DRK being a padder/thrower would be quite odd. (But then maybe it was a 5v3 vote because the last guy didn't care and wanted the prompt to go away or thought it would be funner to see me kicked seconds before the match ended.)
You're mad your caller was fighting the leading team? That's the right call 99% of the time. If you were splitting trying to fight 2nd you were hurting your team.

Aether is plagued with bad commanders. Apparently your DC is incredibly fortunate to have none.

I reflect on and attempt to improve my skills constantly. The same does not appear to be true of some of our shot-callers. Nothing to do with a "premade boogieman," they're simply incompetent.

    They will never do it.

Even players would not enforce. I myself try to vote kick players when I know for certain they are doing their best to not contribute and it gets rejected by the party.

People don't care. The devs don't care. Nothing to do but enjoy the turd sandwich that it becomes due to downright neglect.

Vote kicking can work. Unfortunately the "just playing with friends" premades appear to include a subset that join as a light party with no intention of contributing to the team. That particular group of players are borderline immune to vote kicks.
