So just had a chat with mine; they claimed they did something on their end, but upon restarting my modem it is still having issues. The only change I noticed was that it started timing out on the 5th hop to the server instead of the 6th.

I ain't good with calls so whoever does go ahead with that let us know what's said!

I'm also having the same problem. With 2degrees in NZ too. I've just asked my Network Engineer friend who works at 2degrees to have a look into it. It must be some connectivity / route issue to the datacentre in Australia that these ISP's share. Will post an update once I hear back from him.

Update: Unfortunately my Network Engineering friend was unavailable during the weekend. I have logged a ticket with the 2degrees Network Operations Team (NOC) and let them know it looks like an MTU issue (and have linked them to the Whirlpool forum post where their Network Engineers have fixed the issue for their customers). Hopefully the NOC team will pass the ticket to the Network Engineers first thing Monday and we can get this resolved.

I'm working around this by using the Telstra internet from my phone, which is very not ideal but it means I can play. So in summary:

Telstra: Materia works
Superloop: Materia can't connect

To fellow WOLs in NZ. Can anyone confirm if ONE NZ or other mobile broadband providers work to get to Materia? 2Degrees Mobile does not work for me. Looking into a hotspotting with a pre-paid mobile temporarily until this gets sorted. Thank you.

Same issue here, got booted around 10:30pm aest last night and have not been able to reconnect since. Materia DC, Superloop ISP

I have the same issue, Japan home DC and I DC traveled to OCE. All other data centres work fine. My character's been stuck in Materia since yesterday. When I try to login to Materia, it shows the blue character select background but no menus and after a few seconds my game automatically crashes after giving a 2002 error.
ISP is also Exetel.
