MCH locked out of PF

I have kept my sub going and came back because FF14 finally got some actual content, bought my crafted set and farmed my tomes but what is that I see? Most savage PF groups are locking out the class I just spent my hard earned gil on!

How is this even a thing? This is ridiculous, how is the balance this bad in the game praised for its "good balance" and for "play what u want". If I want to play another class now I'd have to most likely level one if I want to share gear OR farm new set/buy a new set just so I can play a class I might not enjoy and partake in current content.

Why are melee classes that are already performing at the top and have raid buffs getting buffed while MCH sits in the gutter? Blocked out from playing the game?

I am crying right now.

Are they locked out from the first floor? Because that would probably be silly unless they made the mistake they did with P8S. Usually it is more of a concern for the last floors if any.

It's also silly to lock it out of pure prog where they aren't even expecting to clear.

You could try making a PF of your own though too.

I’m hearing people complain about job locking on the second floor, which is crazy but then again there’s ff14 players that are crazy.

Someone who locks out jobs in Savage is likely not worth playing with.

The moment you see parties that lockout jobs, you know these are people who are only looking at rankings on FFLOGS and are most likely shortcutters - high laziness/low patience. Not the kind of people you want to prog with.

They did this in the previous tier and the devs did nothing

This is a design choice, and SE hasn’t been doing great lately with job adjustments. I’m literally being forced to play BRD/DNC. While I dont have an issue with it, I still would love to attend savage as a MCH.

And please don't come up with "make your own group". Word of mouth spreads around quite fast and people will avoid joining you. Keep your self-righteousness to yourselves.

Crazy to see this happening when in most situations PF is better off with MCH because half the people progging right now aren't top parsers. So for the average PF group, brd/dnc buffs are useless when most people barely press 1-2-3 properly to begin with.

I won't be surprised if it gets a rework by 8.0 that simplifies it even more, but I have no idea how you can make a "selfish support" work conceptually.
