Done with XIV

I just wanted to put into words the emotions i've been going through, as somebody who has been playing XIV since february 2014.

I can't continue anymore, there is nothing in the game that comes remotely close to being interesting.
Yes, i am a casual player, i don't have the time or the luxury to be doing hardcore content with a group, nor do i have the patience or motivation for it.
Even for me, the content quality has dropped significantly.
New dungeons? maybe once every full moon .. however the new dungeons we get, remind me of CoD scripted sequences, because there isn't much difference there.
Most new dungeons and i think this trend has started with Stormblood, actually focus more on cinematic presentation, rather than the actual dungeon experience, so you often end up waiting at some spot for a script to trigger and open your path, and i don't have the patience for that kind of nonsense anymore.
Even if i wanted to quit, i know for a fact that i would lose my house and plot forever, so that aspect has been keeping me hostage for a long time, but i'm finally ready to part with all of that aswell.

lastly, and i hope the development team gets wind of this (maybe they already know, but they still screw up), the only reason for me to come this far with XIV, was Dalamud.
Not any of the bad aspects or exploitative aspects, but the simple fact that i could actually customize my character and actually got to have longer hairstyles and prettier hairstyles.
You people still don't have anything interesting for characters to customize with, even most glams are locked either behind some brainless grind, pvp which is terrible, or something like island sanctuary that feels terribly numb to go through, and don't get me started on the extremely overpriced xiv store.

everything about XIV screams anti consumer, but it wasn't always like this.
today, for the fact that shortly after 7.2 we got a hotfix that was rushed out, and only fixed maybe half of the issue it's adressing, broke Dalamud and therefore my customization again, which 7.2 also already did, i am now back to having absolutely nothing about XIV to enjoy.
Which was a good thing, because there is absolutely nothing about XIV itself that is worth staying around for.
i finally realized this.

without penumbra, there is absolutely nothing worthwhile in XIV for me, who has been playing for 11 years +.

My biggest pet peeve is that I work hard to level up my character only to have my gear and level capped and I end up getting killed because I’m trying to complete the activity solo.. I can definitely appreciate being able group up w/ other players but majority of the time play solo and don’t want to have to wait around to try and find people to join me. At almost lvl 80 should be able to walk in and kick the trash out of a level 20 fate.
