I am also not colorblind, but I too would prefer mechanics to be visually clear instead of ambiguous.
Easy to understand, hard to execute. Not the other way around.
If mechanics are only difficult because of missing telegraphs, removing telegraphs to increase difficulty is arguably a bad idea in the first place.

Mechanics can very well be clearly indicated and still difficult to do.

Too much of a fight's difficulty relies on removing telegraphs or using alternative, harder to read patterns.
Also instead of complex puzzle mechanics that play the same every time and require guides to even understand, having intuitive mechanics would greatly reduce the amount of visual clutter required to represent every single detail for a solution.
