Wows infrastructure and coding is like a Ant colony. FF14's is like a pack of wolves. There is really no help that Blizzard could offer or give. It's less "something is in the works" and more "we're trying to figure out how to remove programming hurdles that would prevent it from working as players want". At one point, YoshiP had even commented in a Live Letter about wishing for a miracle programmer to appear that could figure out a solution for them.
I hope they've at least contacted the WoW technical team to see how their Group Finder and LFR matching work. WoW's method probably wouldn't work for FFXIV but it might offer some inspiration for a solution.

Need to merge some Data Centers into others imho, 3+ hours yesterday during peak time unable to get into a Dawntrail Raid.
Dynamis is a failure, Merge it into Aether or Crystal https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfil...?id=3454566811
Usually, I made a PF listing for unpopular raids b/c DPS queues are rough, and a lot of friendly players joined me.Need to merge some Data Centers into others imho, 3+ hours yesterday during peak time unable to get into a Dawntrail Raid.

My core theory atm is the reason Yoshi P is so evasive and coy about this is because they outright don't know if its possible to do a cross dc PF system that is viable, genuinely I think they regret ever implementing cross dc due to the headache it made for dynamis and making new DCs.

While I agree on the first part, and suspect cross DC PF will never actually be a thing. I disagree on the second. Dynamis was made to help combat the mass server congestion issues Endwalker at, particularly at launch. In that vein, it's served its purpose. I don't think the devs are all that bothered people try to all congregate on a single DC for raiding. My core theory atm is the reason Yoshi P is so evasive and coy about this is because they outright don't know if its possible to do a cross dc PF system that is viable, genuinely I think they regret ever implementing cross dc due to the headache it made for dynamis and making new DCs.

Have to admit that didn't occur to me.My core theory atm is the reason Yoshi P is so evasive and coy about this is because they outright don't know if its possible to do a cross dc PF system that is viable, genuinely I think they regret ever implementing cross dc due to the headache it made for dynamis and making new DCs.
I've always assumed that cross-DC PF should in principle be simpler than cross-DC travel, because less character data needs to be carried. Clearly that isn't the case else (one assumes) we'd have cross-DC by now.

The only reason they have problems is because of designing end game raiding the way they did. The game works fine as a casual game but the second someone starts throwing in anything that acts as a huge time sink it builds a wall up on those who cut out for a year and come back. The wall isn't so bad if there is no real hardcore investment and that is how it used to be ages ago.

While I support this 100% and please do not take it the wrong way.....
Massive issue comes mainly from Japanese players who treat "JP DC" as "Japan in RL" and claim it as THEIR COUNTRY rather than a server located in Japan for those living closest to Japanese server or within Japan..... And they do not get this difference, so imagine treating every "foreigner" as immigrant and they want them out ASAP. I want YoshiP to clap hard against this mentality first and put the Japanese player in their places because it is getting to a really bad place where even when reporting harassment against such discrimination warrants no consequences.... YoshiP surely will fear about people quitting...
