    the Main Hand Section of the Armory chest is too small

    With the current number of jobs, the main hand armoury chest is getting too small.

    - 32/50 slots are filled with one gearset per job (excl blue mage)
    - Blue mage weapons do not scale down, and melds disappear on sync, so you need one for lv60, 70, & 80 content (Lv50 has no weapons with meld slots)
    - 6 ultimate fights mean you keep the endwalker and shadowbringer relics for the job(s) you play inside said ultimate fights. this for me is another 4 weapons.
    - Casual players want to do old relic content, keeping around 4-5 relics in their armoury chest

    We're running out.
    With the recent push to not use the offhand slot with actual items, maybe combine the mainhand and offhand armoury chest space into one container

    I don't think that would be beneficial (and might not be compatible with how gear is classified) but what they have already shown they can do is redistribute existing slots, so they could take a few rows from the offhand section and add them to the main hand section.

    Which will end up limited to like 3-5 slots per category because frankly character data space and loading the character data during use and the associated server workload times online players is a thing.

    I'm all for more space, but I have seen the "just make things infinite/per job for XYZ" argument seen a few times on the forums and in an ideal world, this would be great - but sadly we are realistically unlikely to get this much.

    @OP: 19 slots tops for the Mandervillious Relics, put em in your retainer and pull them out when needed. That's how I currently do it. If you don't have 19 slots in your retainer for good weapons to store, then find space for it by getting rid of things you don't need and can easily reobtain. That said, I agree that we have a ton of unused Offhand space so it would be nice if it could get reallocated somehow (or Offhands become a thing for more than PLD + DoH/L Jobs).

    I absolutely agree that it would be nice to have more slots.
    Though I gotta question: why don't you throw away the relic weapons? As soon as a new expansion come over, they become as useless as any level 01 equipment

    Mandervillious weapons are actually Best in Slot weapons for all synced down content for the following two reasons:

    1.) No materia slots that would deactivate for syncing below the weapon's itemlevel
    2.) Syncing down will keep two stats maxed based on item level range you are playing on, with a third stat as a bonus

    These reasons are what makes them quite desirable for Lv90 and below Ultimate raids, because you get maximum weapon stats without having to carry specific iLv weapons for Ultimate gearsets (for example, iLv 635 Abyssos for Omega previously).

    Considering you can effectively get Lv90 and below BiS weapons just spending 6000 poetics now (and having the Mandverville quest down), this is a solid freebie.

    - DSR, TOP have the manderville relics be best-in-slot because of how substat syncing works, so I keep around 2 manderville relics.
    - TEA/UWU/UCOB have the blade's relics be best-in-slot because of how substat syncing works and being able to point-buy specific substats my Blade's AST weapon has 181 crit, 182 DET, 89 sps and 16 piety, this is much better than any other weapon for TEA

    Then I have an ARR WHM relic, a BLM HW relic, and a SHB WAR/BLM relic I am actively working on.



    all of it comes down in-general to: "I use this when sycning down or am working on older relic content"

    I feel like they just need to seperate DOH/DOL into their own independent armoury. There is no reason why we should have to use 11 slots holding the crafter and gatherers tools (and even more if you use the niche benefit of the lodestar relics for the gatherers tools)

    Just give them their own armoury chest

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    I think the suggestion to discard them also discredits the work put into acquiring these weapons.

    Sure, I could get a replica for 100 Gil and throw it into the Glamour Dresser but I didn't invest a ton of time, Tomes, etc into a replica. I invested it into the relic and I want to keep that relic.
