FFXIV totems need to change

I don't know why you think this sort of grind is OK when your literal signature is:



With how stale, homogenized, and gutted job design is; with how repetitive and uninspiring encounter design is; and with how pointless rewards from the stale encounters are, why would anyone be fine with the slop of a grind that you get xpac after xpac, patch after patch?

I seriously have to question the sanity of people who enjoy grinding for extreme trial mounts every single patch. Are you playing a video game or are you just coming here for your second job?

I've complained about all of that. I also stated why I enjoy having a grind. It's literally something I can log in to and mindlessly farm if I don't want to start another game. Without any grinds in the game there is so little to do around here it would just make sense to unsub.

To me, logging in to do an EX or two and see if I get the wings is the equivalent of someone casually booting up overwatch and playing a match or two to kill time. It's not peak gameplay, but at least it's something I can do in a game I'm already familiar with. It's casual content for me.

I hope you can make sense of that.

That's literally the point. The mindless grind is POINTLESS. It exists only to make you stay subbed, but it's complete junk food.

In a good MMO, you grind because you enjoy the content and find it fun, not because you want to log in and stay subbed.

You should 100% unsub if you're reaching the point where you're unironically logging in just to grind for extreme mounts.

I do find it fun, to casually play coop with 7 other players and see if I get a mount. It is junk food, and idk if you noticed but junk food chains are everywhere because people enjoy it.
