You sound ignorant. I'll feed the troll because I'm bored. Also I was right lol see what I said?

I've farmed more in other MMO's than I have in FF14 - it might be one of the primary contributors to my animosity towards game devs intentionally wasting your time and calling it "content." So lazy. You're being so disingenuous by claiming that the game is respecting my time by listing some random grind from WoW and having a crisis over it. I'm surprised you accepted that and said "Good content I need more of that" instead of at least starting to think that maybe that's not a good gameplay model. Expecting people to farm something for 20-30 hours because there's literally no other current "casual" content to play is the reason why the player numbers are cratering. It's bizarre that neither you nor the dev team in the billion dollar company have made the connection that doing things to intentionally waste people's time as opposed to actually developing an engaging endgame is starting to become a really dated design model and is losing the interest of a vast majority of players. Unless SE is going to rely on their boomer-bux to pay the bills, of course (I think they want the numbers to fade down to the Heavensward Gordias numbers that's my tinfoil hat theory). I'm not quite a boomer so I'm just mentally tired of recognizing the same exact pattern of "content" repeating and realizing it's just a treadmill with a bad story now. Also people keep trying to trip you on the treadmill (that's party finder ). There's been zero innovation in MMO "grind" gameplay for 20 years now and the industry numbers are reflecting it. I can't say it's a childish thing for me to realize as I get older that time is much more valuable than I thought it was, and to respect my own. On the contrary, you know it's ok to expect more from the billion dollar company right?

Why not make the totem requirement 300? Why not take them away so it'll make people play it more? Why not assign any arbitrary number to it? If we didn't use a base-10 numerical system would the number of runs we'd need to complete be 60? 144? See how silly it is when you strip it down?

If the grinders want content, sure, make them content that they can smash their face into for 300 hours like Diadem or some raid. But don't make it literally the only thing to do if you're not going to savage or ultimate raid. There's no endgame content that isn't exactly what we've been doing for 12 years now. Is that an unreasonable ask for $15/mo?
