FFXIV totems need to change

Without any grinds in the game there is so little to do around here it would just make sense to unsub.

That's literally the point. The mindless grind is POINTLESS. It exists only to make you stay subbed, but it's complete junk food.

In a good MMO, you grind because you enjoy the content and find it fun, not because you want to log in and stay subbed.

You should 100% unsub if you're reaching the point where you're unironically logging in just to grind for extreme mounts.

I do find it fun, to casually play coop with 7 other players and see if I get a mount. It is junk food, and idk if you noticed but junk food chains are everywhere because people enjoy it.

It's an MMO design choice that is kind of a plague. You're always going to have people who are going to push ahead of others but instead of building a game that is about helping others get to the end, they go with tight limits on everything and make absolutely anything that is more accessible a super grind.

I'm glad you can agree that FF14 is a junk food game. I wouldn't pay $60 a patch to eat junk food content when there are filet mignons out there for less, but you do you!

I do agree, I just find it hell of ironic to be having this argument with someone who sees filet mignons out there but is posting in this forum arguing with me instead xD. But yeah the game is on its way out and I don't think they'll turn it around anymore. What we see is what we'll get until everyone leaves sadly. Unless they change mgmt.

Isn't the whole point of collectable mounts that they are hard to get?
You don't "need" EX mounts.But it feels good when you finally get it.
Same with relics,if its easy to get its worthless.

Meanwhile I enjoy the look of the Manderville weapons because they're pretty and match my outfit.

Would I have liked more time investment? Sure. But not 100 times of running the same ffffing instance over and over.

I'd run it 50x max.
