Unreal dps checks

So...we never give people a chance to step into high end content, got it. We just expect perfection from the get-go. Truly a great community, btw.

Nobody talks about perfection, but sorry i was a new player too but before i set foot in savage content or "high end content" do you know what i did? I practiced my rotation, then i joined dungeons and practiced there my rotation while doing mechs, but that is stuff people nowadays dont do anymore, they jump in pf with the mentality "oh it will work out somehow" and hold everyone else down, i never would say anything about new player wanting to try savage or something, and i dont expect perfection but i expect preperation and practice

I give you another example, last week my unreal reclears, i had a reaper in my group which not once used AC and not once used Gluttony, now tell me is something like that fine? Nuh uh its not and there is no excuse like "Im a new player trying stuff out"

Doesnt matter if you only had 2 deaths, if people dont know how to press buttons, instead of looking at "we used food and we had only 2 deaths" just check the dmg, hey you can call me now toxic but judging on my previous unreal experience its 100% lacking dps

The fact that there’s only two deaths already gives us the answer. People don’t know how to play their jobs, and the rest of the party can’t make up for the lost damage output. My friends cleared this fight with 10 deaths but they know how to play their jobs.

People who don’t know what they’re doing will miss out on a lot of damage output they otherwise should have. You don’t even have to be close to perfect. There’s a big difference between someone who knows how their job should be played and is just making mistakes (which will still do more than enough damage to clear), and someone who does not know how it should be played. Most people who know how to play their jobs are busy doing the Savage tier.

But a lot of beginners don’t know the way they’re playing their jobs is incorrect. And a lot of beginners I talk to don’t know what Stone Sea Sky is.

The parties I've been in that haven't cleared ignored requests to hold party wide buffs and when to pot. Or they explode or don't know a mech. Cleared with people using average gear, no materia, etc. It's optional, overturned maybe but frankly, there are other fights and other u reals coming out or available. Finally feel like dps have to wake up and it's frustrating but I prefer it.

I am able to do it. I clear it twice every week. All I'm saying is that the DPS check is tuned a little too tightly this time for no good reason. Byakko was far too lenient, Suzaku is slightly too harsh. There can be a happy medium.
