When serch item in my beg, there are 3 messages in chat window after patch

When I use "search for item" , I get 3 messages after patch.

Current inventory may not be reflected for your chocobo saddlebag.
Current inventory may not be reflected for your glamour dresser.
Current inventory may not be reflected for a retainer.

I have no idea how to disable it. Can anyone help me?

Maybe not a disable but a workaround, but I have seen the same.

When I log on, I usually cycle my retainers, and simply open my choco saddlebag. This will get rid of 2 of the 3. Not sue why they put them in, but I just make those 2 steps, an then the remaining one just goes by my scroll so fast I don't notice it.

Also having this issue, since this patch is first time I've seen it.

I asked someone about it, they said "oh yeah that always happens for me" and went on to elaborate that they've seen this message for years?

I definitely would've noticed three red lines of text popping up endlessly before this XD

It's not a perfect solution but one way to be free of seeing it for now is to go to Character Settings - Log Window Settings - Log Filters and then uncheck 'error messages' under the Announcements tab. Unfortunately, it will prevent *all* error messages from appearing but off the top of my head I don't know there's anything we absolutely need to see day to day that fall under that section. You could also just make error messages appear under a different tab by tweaking the individual tab settings.

I'm honestly quite surprised that there's not more chatter about this, it's really intrusive and annoying. Hopefully there's a proper solution for it sometime soon.

Well, that would stop the red text from appearing, but ideally I'd like my search function to actually check those places. I mean it used to.

Hiding the error messages just means it won't check them OR tell me that it didn't check them.

I often use the search function to see if drops I get are already stored in the glam dresser, and it forgetting what's there every time I log out is a huge pain.

Based on my understanding of the game......

It is checking them, just like it always did. My guess at the internal workings (possibly to save memory space or unneeded calls to the db), is that the game does not actively go and query the retainers, armoire or saddlebag unless you actually open one of those for something and now they have just changed the notification that basically says 'you haven't looked there yet, so I have no idea what is there' so it more pronounced.

Your game client actually forgets everything you have every time you log out. All of your inventories are stored on the servers, not locally. So every time you log in it re-queries to see what you have. Since your main inventory is right on the HUD, it gets re-populated as part of the load in, but the others are not right in your face so to speak. That slight pause when you open the retainers, that animation when the glam dresser is opening, that's when it queries the servers and pulls down the inventory you have (at least traditionally). My guess is SE changed when/how it loads those for some reason.

There is very little that is stored on your local machine. Mainly it's just game settings, your macros, hud layout, and gearsets for each of your toons, everything else is server side.

As I said originally, and at least for me, just cycling my retainers and opening my saddlebag when I log in is easy enough an gets rid of all but 1 of them, an since personally haven't gotten too deep into the true endgame of the glamors, the dresser doesn't mean much to me atm.

So I did a little digging, and this appears to have been implemented in patch 5.4. Down in the system part of the patch notes, there is a section labled "When executing the "Search for Item" subcommand, a warning message will be displayed when results may not correctly reflect your current inventory." That shows this more or less, so it's a fairly recent addition.
