misleading title imo, because you talk only about glam instead of real rewards (which the game lack depth in). as always fluff over gameplay complaint

While I would absolutely love to see a World of Warcraft transmog system...
How much do have in you glamour dressed you never use? I know mine has a lot.
you have no idea how business works... This game is their net positive venture but because of their poor decisions is turning negative. They use this game to fund everything else. Only 20% or so of your sub fees and mogstation purchases are money that is reinvested into this game. If the situation doesn't improve they don't the options to run a deficit on this game long term like other bigger companies do and it will deemed not viable anymore.
So how long are you going to give them to overhaul the glam system until you unsub? A few years? They can't even fix up their account ID system I think overhauling the glam might take a while.
WoW is not the only game that uses transmog like system, but FF14 does need to change the system they currently have, one way or the other.
Next, they could make a separate bag for mats. Cooking is one of the most obnoxious classes to level/ craft for.
See the problem here is that you compare a triple S legendary MMO to a niche PS4 game.
I could literally stop renting additional retainers, if I didnt have to store glamours for my jobs. But, it's a business choice and wether you want to keep the glam or not - they definetly want us to rent retainers. I stopped hoarding crafting materials so I have room for glamours lol. My glamour dresser is packed as well.
It's really a curse to play all roles and glamour them with whatever hits your preference.
Take my upvote.
Which is a text book example of how not to do it. It's nonsensically for a game to load the contents of other player's personal chest, just when you walk past them. Most probaly a scenario like "some of our core systems are utter garbage, programmed by an intern 12 years ago, who now happens to be our boss, so we cannot even bring that topic up". Which is not uncommon for any sort of client/server application that's running for years and years. As a more well known example, players wanted more stash space in Diablo 4, only to find out that the reason Blizzard was reluctant to provide it was because their existing setup loaded (into memory) the entire inventory and stash contents of every player you encountered. So it wasn't that they didn't want to provide more storage, it was that they couldn't provide it for performance reasons.
The problem is, when you have to fix spaghetti code that nobody in your company understands any longer, it will take time, i.e. money. That's why SE could do some things in island sanctuary that they could not do in housing, as they programmed it anew, not on top of some age old garbage system.
So the cost of enhancing the wardrobe system could be enormous, as they might have to completely rewrite that part of the game from scratch.
Don't settle for less by comparing to WoW, Wildstar's Costume system didn't cost anything to change outfits, it only scaled based on what dyes you wanted to use and had three dye channels per outfit piece. It also had an effective glam plate system if I recall right, but I could be misremembering. The dye scaling even on the higher end was incredibly cheap.
This character for example is the Medic class, a medium armor class which is wearing Medic PVP helm, Engineer (Heavy Armor) PVP gloves, Esper (Light Armor) Raid shoulders, and the Scientist path's pants. This character is a Settler path character. I can't recall what the chestpiece and boots were, image posted to imgur 8 years ago and all. Point is, don't settle for less by saying you want WoW's transmog system or soon-to-be housing system, Wildstar was doing better than both a decade ago for outfits and housing, and it's a crying shame the rest of the game was so poorly executed.

That's a very good question. If they don't have a serious announcement for 8.0, I'll have to bow out. It's beyond unacceptable at this point.
