    What I don't get is why they don't at least integrate some of their current systems into the glamour dresser.

    Lets take relic weapons, currently if you want a replica weapon, you first have to go to the NPC (North Shroud, Azys La, Kugane, and so on) and use a menu that is different from each other (one list them per step, another per job and yet another per role, why can't you just update it with a simple drop down menu for each of them). So an easy solution for all this would be to integrate a replica relic part into the glamour dresser similar to how we have the Armoire, so when you create a relic it becomes available as a replica in this section.
    They could also easily do this with the artifact armors you get for free (SHB/EW/DT), and even the Recompose NPC could be added since they do have some items you can't store in the Armoire such as the Garo PVP gear.

    Agree, lack of a glamour log done properly (and not half-assed) is needed. The spahetti code excuse died years ago. It's 2025, FIX THE CODE. The devs have the source code, they can do whatever they want and choose not to. The money they make from the game should be put into the game first, then off to other projects. I can't do any new glams because i only have 20 plates. I want 20 plates per job plus another 100 for non-job glams. There shouldn't be a limit anyway.


    I have designs on how to do it if any dev is interested i can explain.

    The difference is that FF14 has an eco system for dyes. Many players are earning Gil with farming dyes and sellling them.

    Transmog system can't storage dye data. That's why the new implementations in FF14 also can't storage dyes. And I don't like it to use purewhite and jetblack again and again.

    The mobile version has transmog because it killed the whole dye economy.

    That's just lack of imagination. You can have dyes part of the glamour dresser - a one-way storage box of 999 dyes each where people can deposit their dyes to be used in outfits.


    In fact, i would even prefer if dyes were a consumable that are applied to each item to permanently unlock that dye on that item account-wide.


    I do like the dye economy, i don't want it taken away, but there are ways to improve the glamour system and it's frustrating because the solutions are so obvious.

    Dyes are a non issue. I have no idea why people think having a modern glamor system is mutually exclusive with storing dye data.

    Honestly, it's so sad I can't feel the way I felt before about the fame and the team.
    It makes no sense why they let these issues rot, and they focus on making 9000 cutscenes in the latest expansion when they could shift some of those resources over to adjusting and fixing old code, it doesn't make any sense.

    There is a reeking issue of mismanaged priorities and the ignored community.

    Everyone wants this game to be good, but it seems like at this point the game is in managed decline. It's apparent that the development team is deeply distracted with other projects.

    They have to be working on another game, right? There's been so little meaningful improvements to this game. I thought Dawntrail was gonna address so much more. It didn't do much for the health of the game in any real way.

    Wasn't sure what to expect clicking this but glad i did.

    You are right on the money about rewards.

    When it was announced a new glam system was coming practically the entire player base warned SE to use something like WoWs.
    SE turned around and laughed that they know best and their system will be far better.

    It came out, players hated it, SE shrugged and went "Whoops teehee, too late now, cant change it, spaghetti code yadda yadda".
    We COULD of had a system that works but SE "Always knows best". They know what players want even if we tell them what we want is different from what they tell us we want...... and look how thats turning out for the game......

    PS4 game. Can't even discard stuff/queue up/teleport/craft while other certain windows are open. Oh dungeon queue popped, gotta change job, can't change job while window x is open, can't close window x while interacting with y. Can't stop interacting with y without clicking through a series of popup boxes. Whole framework of this game is utter trash. Stop comparing it to WoW, a PC game by one of the best companies when it comes to controls and UI.

    Square is good for ingame music and stories/character design to a certain degree, that's about it.
