It took my group quite a while to find out how to solve the gaze, and he feels quite tanky in comparison to the other bosses(this could have been my group underperforming in comparison to the ones i had for the rest though).
The music is great and the fight has a lot of movement. Overall quite punishing and for us abit of a wall with the gaze, but Mr Happy figured out the gaze in 1 pull so I suppose it was just us being dumb. Standing behind the corpse for some reason didn't even occur to me XD. Other then that I quite enjoyed the fight.

Can see this being a massive wall in savage though.

Someday I'd really like to know what kinda game(s) the players that call this game, or any content in it, "hard" came from. Also gg narcissist post trying to put others down as "casuals" in an absolute noskill game.

DPS couldn't stay up and our "Genesis of Legends" healer spent more time on the floor than fighting. How does M7 compare to a newer Extreme (unsynched) like Valigarmanda? I've been wary of trying anything harder than Normal stuff since it feels like I'm a decade behind everyone else.
M7 doesnt have an enrage timer like extremes or savage but is more mechanically complex where I would put it in the (hard) category, Somewhere between normal and extreme. Too many dungeons and raids aren't very mechanically complex and leave a large gap between normal and extreme content. It's not completely where it needs to be to bridge that gap fully, but it's a good step in the right direction. If sqex can continue to challenge players in this way, I think it would be a good way to prepare players for extreme and savage.

Im not trying to put people down, I'm trying to gadge how more casual player are reacting to more mechanically complex fights. I'd like to see a more fight like this and harder to bridge the gap between normal and extreme content since that's been something I've been asking for a lot. The thing is, it doesn't affect me if they don't make it, but it affects the entire playerbase worried about stepping into extremes because they don't think they're ready for it.

honestly I like it because it pushed player to improve if they don't desire to be better then it's where they will stop or leave. to me I see M3 as a good thing because at this point you should be skilled enough to be able to complete it

M7 is very fast paced but is definitely easier than ex1 was. Flubbing a mechanic in M7 doesn't result in potentially wiping the group like in an extreme and there's way less coordination involved.

Go ahead and try the extremes though if you want to, if you watch a guide and you're capable of understanding the strategy (i.e. we do this and that because the boss is doing this attack in this certain way) then you're already far ahead of even a lot of savage raiders. I can't tell you how often people people in Savage would be resistant to adapting to a strategy that is far easier than the one they're currently doing because they didn't even understand why the strat they first used even worked in the first place. You will likely feel like an idiot at first but that's how I felt when I did Valigarmanda's extreme and even though my rotation was honestly pretty bad it was very doable.

Funny enough, the first group I had for M8 disbanded because people kept dying over and over due to poor heals + lack of mitigating people's mistakes. I had to re-que as Healer, and I pretty much solo-healed 90% of the fight because the co-healer was either afk or on the floor.

Surprisingly with everyone new, the group I ran it with 2 shot after wiping to the platform knock back, BUT M8 had 2 parties wipe and bail. Guess the dps check there is a little tighter than what most expected and stack damage fairly brutal with vulns/downed players, didnt help had double whm those 2 parties, shields do wonders for M8.
